Gastritis post op anyone?

I had my endoscopy today... we thought ulcer which there was NONE which is awesome! However i am showing gastritis which is why i have been in so much pain drinking especially. I feel like my chest and stomach is on fire! They are however keeping me on my carafate anti ulcer medicine i guess gastritis can form into an ulcer. They also took like 6 biopsies 4 from the esophagus and 2 from my stomach. Should hear the results probably next week. So my question is for anyone with gastritis how did you handle the pain? Mine is still really bad for over 3 weeks now while taking antacids. Is there anything you did specifically to help the symptoms besides carafate and antacids?

I had gastritis a few weeks ago it was caused by my gallbladder not working properly which inflamed my stomach lining my dr put me on omneprazole 40mg 2x day and carafate 10ml every 6 hours and hydrocodone 5/325 1-2 tabs every 4-6 hours as needed for pain

ty i am hoping we can keep everything under control. i am so tired of being in pain just from drinking it stinks esp when you are working so hard to get all of your fluids in. How long did it take yours to go away?
