Eating every 2-3 hours
There is no way I could eat on your schedule personally. First off I'd never get my water in waiting 30-60 min after I eat to drink and taking 20-30 mins to eat the meal. For example your 6pm meal would take me til 630 to eat then I couldn't drin****il 7-730 and at 8 your eating again I just don't guzzle water quick enough to get enough in in that 30-60 mins.
Eating that often would also set me up for grazing mentality that I had pre op, the food is just too close together for my personal comfort.
My doc's plan calls for 3 meals a day only, I have incorporated a snack since 3 months out when he told me to add an extra protein shake a day to get my protein in.
I get in between 900-1100 calories a day depending on what I eat. I do allow myself a not so healthy snack a few days a week but I work it into my plan to make sure I still get in enough protein first and I have plenty of calories as I'm trying to get up to 1200 at this point and just don't get there.
My typical day:
B - Celebrate ENS shake
L - 3-5 oz of meat (usually ends up 3-4 oz)
D - 3-5 oz of meat (usually about 4 oz avg) and sometimes a couple bites of potatoes if there is room after the meat, usually there isn't. I sometimes do about 3/4 cup of meaty spaghetti sauce with 10 noodles, about twice a month I have pizza with the family I can eat 1 - 1.5 slices i only eat thin crust and never the edge.
S- (I have my snack when I feel like it so sometimes between lunch and dinner other times between dinner and bed) - Protein bar or protein shake or 1 cup of popcorn or a half serving of raspberry danish
I know I am not typical because there isn't veggies and fruit which I am allowed by my plan but have never eaten in my entire life. I just don't care for either.
I'm rarely hungry, the only time I can say I truly feel real hunger is if I had lunch earlier than noon and it's about 6 in the evening and I haven't had dinner.
If I feel my blood sugar is going low, I do what I always did preop having had hypoglycemia for 20 years, I eat a saltine cracker with a slice of cheese. Fortunately I've only needed to do that a couple of times since surgery.
Looking at your diet and schedule I'd cut out a bit of the fruit and perhaps cut out a meal or two and go every 3-4 hours if possible.
