I am a month out of surgery. For the past few weeks, every time I eat or drink I get pain and discomfort. I can chew my food to mush/puree texture and right under my breastbone upper stomach i get pain and discomfort. It started happening even with sips of water. The pain and discomfort  stays with me for about 30 minutes when I am done eating or drinking. I never throw it up.  It just sits there. Then my stomach makes these nasty growls and weird sounds and its annoying....  I don't know what else to do. I dont eat or drink much because I dont wanna feel that pain. I had to go to the hospital for dehydration because I dont drink enough and they found out I have kidney and gallstones...... And the only way to pass it is to drink..... I cant drink anything with out pain or discomfort!!

Call your surgeon. Liquids should not hurt at all unless you are gulping maybe. Wonder if you are swallowing tooth air.

What are you eating?
