How long approval takes with Highmark BCBS

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums and excited to be part of this community. I know this has probably been a common topic but I was wondering if anyone had dealt with Highmark BCBS specifcally and how long it took to get approved.

I have Highmark here in PA and I believe I got my approval in the mail within a week to 10 days. It was so exciting seeing that letter.

I hope it's closer to the week or less timeframe! My company is based in Pittsburgh. I am a remote employee for them here in Idaho. I love PA. It's beautiful!

Kathy, what did u do for the 6 mnth diet requirement? What proof did u have to show for it?

My insurance is Highmark BCBS of PA and I've gone through 3 denials and now am in external review. They have been very frustrating to deal with. Hopefully you have an easy process with them!
