Its amazing that we all had the same surgery and everyone has different rules to follow. My doctor said no pills till 6 weeks out because they might get stuck. Most stool softeners are gel filled. It may be that the pill started to dissolve in your stomach and the medicine inside it has irritated your stomach. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Sorry you are having a hard time. I am 2 weeks post op and swallow all my pills no problem and my one is omeprazole which is fairly  large. Maybe your doc can adjust some of your meds so you don't have to take so many...don't know your hx etc but at 28 thats a lot. It will get better:)
