What is your favorite meal ?
I have to pick just one favorite?
Well, lately I've been eating a lot of pinto beans with some diced onion and peppers and salsa, topped with shredded cheddar. That's yummy.
I love Greek yogurt, with a little Splenda and some sugar free cheesecake pudding mix stirred in, then topped with no sugar added cherry pie filling and a crumbled up graham cracker. Tastes just like cherry cheesecake.
I guess those would be my two current favorites.

Hmmm! I guess it depends on how far post-op we're talking. My favorite meal for the first year post-op was black bean soup. Now (7 years post-op), my favorite meal is a 4 oz portion of salmon coated with a little olive oil and Paul Prudhomme's Salmon Magic Seasoning. I cook it on my George Foreman grill. Takes less than 5 minutes.

Crab legs.
It takes work to crack them and get the meat - so it slows down the meal, which is great.
It is a great soft protein.
I don't need butter or anything!

I LOVE crab legs! It's the only meal I can finish because there's really not that much meat and you have to work for it :)
I also love a good omelet for lunch, and shrimp or any seafood for dinner :)

This was my favorite pre-surgery food and I expect to love it after surgery, too! :) I am a baby sea otter, I can rip a dungeness crab apart without a single tool! :)
My husband loves filet mignon and caesar salad.
To be honest, I don't have a favorite anymore. Although I think something sounds very good to me, when I actually eat it I find that my taste buds have changed and I don't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Pea soup is something I eat a fair amount of, and string cheese. I still eat protein bars every week day, and I drink sugar-free Carnation Instant Breakfast every morning. Those both taste good, although sometimes the protein bars are too sweet. I like the Atkins bars. Your dietician will probably tell you not to eat too many of those - mine said no more than four a week, but I eat five a week and I don't think they hurt me. They're an easy way to get protein and not too much to eat at one time.
