Can't eat a lot at breakfast, and other thoughts.
Do any of ya'll have a problem with not being able to eat much at breakfast? Ive noticed lately that it seems really hard for me to get in a decent amount. This morning I had 3 bites of ham steak, and 3 bites of an over easy egg. Thats all I could do. Is it possible that my pouch is smaller in the morning because i havent eaten all night? I have no idea if thats possible but that was the only thing I could think of.
On a lighter note, i FINALLY have been getting in all my water the past couple of days. It took me a bit but I think Ive got it now. Still having trouble getting in all my protein, but im working on it and almost there, I can't do protein shakes, they make me feel sick to my stomach, so im relying heavily on meats. I have not had a problem with a single thing ive eaten, except for some chicken that i didnt chew well enough. So im thankful for that.
Starting exercising a few weeks ago, and i just dropped my 19th pebble into my workouts completed jar. Feeling really good about that, since the most ive ever exercised before was like 4 days and then I gave up. Ive been swimming 1000meters a few times a week, and then I do bike/treadmill for 40 minutes and either an arm, leg,or ab work out. I want to get my muscles toning so i dont have a bunch of extra skin, and i can just get a boob job once im at goal :)
I went shopping for some shorts this week, its hot here in GA, real hot. The shorts I got last summer from Forever 21 were a size 20. The shorts I got this summer from Old Navy at 2 months post op were 16, The 14 fit, bit since my clothes have gotten looser I felt uncomfortable having them a little snug. Felt like my muffin top was back! So 16 it was!!
Im trying to rid myself of my Starbucks addiction, I was a frappuccino addict before surgery, what my Husbands Grandpa likes to call "Candy Coffee", and Iced Coffee, those were my weaknesses. Now that I can't have the caffeine I get iced Passion Teas like a mad woman, im talking like twice a day...killing them. But everytime I end up in that drive thru i think how badly I want a Coffee Frappuccino. So my husband said maybe if i quit going I wont crave it anymore. So i got passion tea that i can brew myself at home, and havent been in a few days. And as much as I hate to admit it I think he was right. I mean dont get me wrong I would still move heaven and earth if I could have a frappuccino. But i dont think about it constantly now lol.
I dont think I am a dumper. Which may be a blessing or curse. We'll see. (might get to have that frappuccino when I hit goal, a small one...like once a month)
Anyway, my real question here was the breakfast. Just wondering if anyone out there is having the same issue. Also has anyone tried the Calcet Creamy Bites Calciums? Are they delicious? Im either going to Order those or the bariatric advantage chews, to have with me when Im not at home (I take the Citracal D powdered calcium)

I am having to force myself to drink my shakes the last two mornings. I am not hungry in the morning, either.
Passion tea has been a favorite in our family for YEARS! I buy the quart size bags and make 1/2 gallon and keep it in the fridge. I put in two Crystal Light lemonade packets and man alive, it is FABULOUS! Give it a try! You can buy the Tazo tea that Starbucks uses at Target and many of the supermarkets.
I drink Passion Tea from Starbucks almost every day, sugar free with 4 splenda. I sometimes keep a packet of Crystal Light Lemonade in the car a pour a little bit of that in the tea. YUMMY
They sell the passion tea at target I think, why not just make a pitcher or bring it to work instead of putting yourself in the position where you're tempted by going through the drive through? I loveeee the passion tea and it's definitely the same kind, tazo brand.
I JUST got an order of the calcet bites yesterday in chocolate and they were pretty good! I would say they'd be good if you had a chocolate craving, and hey they're good for you :) I also have tried the BA calcium chews in lemon and caramel, lemon was great, tasted like lemon starburst. caramel was good too, but I liked the lemon a little better. I ALSO got some celebrate calcium 500 chewables yesterday and I had one of those today and its pretty good, I think its more affordable than either the calcet or chews. I have a hard time with calcium pills getting stuck so I had to buy a few months worth of calcium, hoping I can take pills again sometime.
When did you have your surgery? you're doing great so far :)
I did get the Tazo Passion Tea Packs the other day, thats all ive been drinking. It is keeping me out of the drive thru. Thanks for your input on the Calcium chews. I think im going to stick with the BA, I am not allowed to take any sort of pills on my plan, only liquid of chewables. And i couldnt stand the Calcium Chewables I got from Celebrate, it was like I was eating Sea Shells, and the taste was horrible, to me.
I had my Surgery March 13th, and thank you! im pretty proud of myself just for how far ive come already, my life has deffinetly already turned around and improved for the better!
Just wanted to let you know to try Big Train's low carb iced latte powder that you mix with 1/2 cup of half and half and 1/2 cup of water and 12 ounces of ice. Put in a blender and blend until smooth. YUMMM! I use 1/2 cup of almond milk instead of half and half and it is fine. It comes in vanilla, chocolate, and caramel. I also top mine with 2 Tbsp. of lite cool whip and drizzle with sf chocolate syrup. Look it up on line, it isnt a protein powder.
I have a shake for breakfast each morning on my commute. I cant eat much in the early am either.
I have both of the calciums you are talking about and I like them all.
You will probably wish you had bought the 14s as the 16s will be falling off you soon LOL
