I am 4 weeks out, total lost 29 lbs, but today I got on the scales and it was only 1/2lb, I was soooooo disappointed, I thought it woul be at least 2lbs. I al 6ft tall, started at 296, now weight 267. Do u think 1/2 lbs is normal for this early out. So discouraged, I thought it would be faster, am I expecting too much?

Wow, I think you are doing great. 29 lbs in a MONTH!? I have lost 19 lbs in three weeks and would have to lose 10 pounds in the next week to say I have your loss numbers! And I am VERY careful on my protien, calories, water and doing exercise!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

You are doing great!  I am almost 6 weeks from surgery, and have only lost 14 lbs.

It is normal at this stage to have a slight slow down for a short period of time as your body comes into balance. My surgeon explained that after surgery your body begins to rehydrate slowly and this happens at the cellular level. This is why you read so often on this forum about the 3 week stall. This actually has happened to me for the last 2 weeks. A little frustrating, but I had this surgery as a long term solution, so getting frustrated this early is kind of silly considering that you have done so well. Just wait, in a short time, things will jump start again and you will get on the scale and be blown away by how much you have lost.

Keep up the good work!

Thank u all, I think I just expected more, considering we don' t eat that much, but I do have 3 protein shakes a day usually with skim milk, love unjury, chocolate splendor taste like choc milk and the vanilla I had a half of banana, neither is chalky or sweet. I should say I lost 10lbs pre-surgery and 15 post, so, we are on the same tract. I need not to expect so much of myself, thank u all.
