Things I've learned about being thin

Being thin is magical to those of us who were formally not.

I now actively engage with other people at work.  I no longer wear black and try to fade into the background.

I can now approach strangers with confidence.

I lead meetings with the authority I never felt before.  It's a new mindset.  You start to feel important and worthy.

I feel strong...not just mentally but my body.  I can feel my thigh muscles flexing when I walk.  It makes me want to run because I can.

Buying clothes is not only enjoyable but a breeze.  No more black pants for me!!!

Remember, this is just me.  It's more than how my body looks; it's how my mind works differently.  Do people treat me better?  You bet!  But that is also because I am more sociable, happy, approachable, confident, etc.  People can feel that vibe.

I feel like I can do anything.  And so can you.

That's excellent! What a great motivator for everyone that's in the process. One day I hope I'll be able to say much of the same. All the best!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I'm not thin yet but I completely relate to everything in your post.  My mind and body are stronger and I socialize with people more than I ever have before.  I feel so much better in every aspect of my life.  Thank you for posting this.

Right on.  So very right on.  I wore a red shirt the other day and my husband of 32 years took a second glance and said, "I have never seen you in that color before."
