What happens if?
I gather that was not on the pre op diet plan you were asked to follow? Probably nothing will happen. You can call your doc's office and ask to make sure it's OK.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Thank you!! I called the nurse and she asked the doctor if that was ok. She said it will be ok just nothing else. I wish they would change their options on the liquid diet. It has everything sweet except broth!! I'm so sick of sweet tasting food!!
I hope tomorrow I won't be hungry and it wont make any difference what i drink. I'm excited to finally be here at this place it has been a long time coming. Thanks for the encouragement . I'm so happy for your success so far:) I hope to be there soon:}

Maybe I am confusing you with someone else...and if so, my apolgies...but haven't you cheated quite a bit on the pre-surgical diet? Are you 100% sure you are ready to commit to the surgery and an entire lifestyle change?
I did not cheat once in the 22 days of my LD nor did my husband during the 14 days of his.
HW333--SW 289--GW of 160 5' 11" woman. I only know the way I know & when you ask for input/advice, you'll get the way I've been successful through my surgeon & nutritionist. Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
I did cheat but with all healthy foods no fat no sugar and no carbs so it wasn't like a piece of cake. Which i don't ever crave anyway. I lost 10 lbs regardless. Not all pre-op diets are all sweets. I got sick of sweet shakes, sweet sugar free jello, and sugar free ice pops. The only thing salty is the broth and i could only have one of those a day.
What was your pre-op like and good for you that you didn't cheat on it. It makes a difference they are all different.
I think i am committed to the life style change i have been preparing for 4 months and the big day is finally here. My husband is a nurse and he has been involved in this the whole time. He didn't think it was harmful. I called the surgeon and told them. They said that as long as i have lost a reasonable amount of weight it would be fine. I have learned alot.
I have 62lbs more to lose after surgery. Started out at 191 I'm 4'9" so my BMI was above 40. I hope it will be easier without the hunger. The next two weeks everyone seems to say it is. Thanks for your concern i appreciate you worrying about me:)
