I was exhausted until 5 weeks out. No matter what I did or did not do.  It just took time to get back to my old self!

Hi there! I know everyone is different! I had my pre-op visit with my surgeon last week and I asked him about all the exhaustion I keep reading about on here and that I was worried about it. He said that as long as I have been doing as I have been told in the past months, and I do as told with following the diet and exercise and follow the vitamin and mineral regimin routine after surgery, I may feel tired, yes, after surgery, but not like an "I have to stay in bed, because I am tired and can't move kind of tired". He also told me that with following the instructions closely and no complications two and a half weeks off of work and doing no heaving lifting for a couple of months should be just fine! We shall see!!!~We shall see!! I got one more week! Tues. July 2nd is the big day! It is almost here! They did tell me at the office visit to keep moving while I was still at home and not working so that I would not become exhausted, even if it was just a few steps at a time. Have you tried that? Just a thought! Best wishes and hope you feel better soon!
