I was wondering if I could have the 97% FF National Hebrew hot dog without the bun at a bbq...  Or are there any other hot dog selections?    I won't eat them very much  if I can maybe a few a year... But Every now and then I would like a good dog

If you find the casings bother you, you can peel those off.  That is what I do, and they sit much better in my pouch.  Granted, I've only eaten them twice since surgery, but there you go.

Beef in general may be hard to digest the first few months.  Any new thing you try be sure to try it at home...See how you handle it.  Start very slow with any new item.  Talk to your pouch...Say "Pouch, here is something new...Will you try it and see if you like it"??  If your pouch is in the mood it will try it and let you know very quickly if it feels right or not.  Wait a few minutes and see.  If it just doesn't feel right down there STOP...Do not pass go, do not collect $200.  Wait till things settle down before eating anything else (making matters worse).  Just saying to test everything.  Brian

I had a turkey brat this evening with a little mustard. Yum! The casing doesn't bother me and I'm 2 months out.

I have no trouble eating a hot dog. I try to find the ones with the highest protein content and then I couple it with beans. Actually, that was lunch today!
