Adipex Anyone!!!!!!

I took adipex for about a month pre op. My blood pressure became dangerously high so I had to stop taking it.  I lost 25 lbs in a month but as soon as I stopped taking it I gained it all back. Not worth it in my opinion. Too many possible side effects.  You would do better to adopt a healthier way of eating as best as you possibly can before surgery.  I know its so hard though....hence why some of us have surgery.  Good Luck to you!!

I personally wouldn't take them but won't jus he your decision. I know people that have taken them before to lose and after wls. Talk to your doctor about your concern. 

On another note I had to lose weight before surgery. My surgeon recommended a lean meat and green leafy veggie diet. I lost 21 lbs in 4 weeks. 

I took Adipex before I even looked into WLS. While on it, I needed to have emergncy gall bladder removal surgery. The surgeon was nervous about doing it and said they normally want people to be off of it 2 weeks prior to having surgery because it can cause an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. I would do my research on it for sure!
