Where did you find SF fudgesicles? I have not seen them anywhere.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

They are not SF they are no sugar added so i think maybe 9g per bar? I would have to double check though.

Ah! I am only a few months out, so not yet, but maybe in the future. Thanks for clarifying! :)

Mayfield makes sugar free fudgecicles. I've eaten them a few times since my surgery.

I do enjoy certain things, but I no longer put alot of focus on food, recipes and such.   I do enjoy beans of all kinds  and I enjoy a good steak and mushrooms and a little salad.  It's just my husband and I and we are older anyway but since the surgery I no longer wonder what I can eat because I focus on healthy foods now and nutrition.  I don't even eat fruit salad because of the sugar.  Jane

I've yet to have much success with chicken.  If, as said, it's even remotely dry, I get pain/pain/pain.  So, I'm staying away from chicken.  I like refried beans, but cannot do steak yet.  Salad is pretty much okay.  I like sugar free applesauce.  I can tolerate some microwavable "Lean Cuisines".  Celery and peanut butter.  Cream of wheat is my absolute favorite, in the a.m. with a little bit of Splenda.  Haven't ventured with "toast" yet, and probably won't.  Canned soups I can manage pretty well, also.

Do you like cottage cheese?  One of my favorite lunches is FF cottage cheese with tuna and some chile sauce for spice.  Yummy and tons of protein.

I love shrimp ****tail and caprese salad (tomato, fresh mozarella & basil)

I eat a lot of grilled fish (salmon or whatever I have) and grilled summer veggies (squash, eggplant, green beans...)

I made turkey or beef meatballs from scratch with homemade tomato sauce.  I serve it with pasta for the family, but I eat mine without pasta.  I love that meal.

I make crustless quiche or sometimes I'll make it in the crust and just not eat the crust myself.   I really like it with fresh spinach, onion and goat cheese.

Chicken salad served in a quarter of an avocado.

I love eating freshly prepared, nutritional foods that nourish my body but are still on my program.   I don't think you have to change the fact that you enjoy eating to be successful with a post-RNY lifestyle, you just have to replace the processed foods and most of the grains with proteins, veggies and some fruits.  These make beautiful, colorful, nutritious and fresh meals that even those not post-op can find appealing.  I'm very careful with my portions as well, because  I don't do a whole lot of low fat cheeses etc.  I use regular whole foods.
