Im so sorry you had to go through that! Im glad you both got away with minimal injuries. So scary! I hate when Im at the park with my dog and kids and see large dogs off leashes. The owner of those dogs should not be able to own animals if he cant lock them up properly. Your right, what if a small child would have came down that street...OR what if they would have attacked YOU?

I am furious for you! I really hope they put those dogs to sleep--that is outrageous! It is also why I NEVER go out alone or with my dogs without packing heat! I carry a 9mm, am an excellent shot and while I am a MAJOR animal lover, I am also sure I never want to be in the position you were in and unable to do anything for my personal pets. I really cannot imagine the terror for you and your poor Stella! Too many people have fences that are not of correct heft or height to contain their dogs and then there are the complete losers who let their dogs run free. With one dog, you can grab the hind legs but more than one, a gun is honestly the only option in my book. Ever since that poor woman was torn apart by those dogs in her apartment building in SF years ago (I am originally from that area and keep up with the news there), I have started carrying a gun pretty much 24/7 and the only place I really cannot take it is my place of business (bank) due to rules there.
Sue the pants off those owners and the sue the underpants off them!
