I can't seem to post my lab results

Well I don't know just what I am doing wrong but I am doing something wrong.  I have 3 pages of labs saved to the desktop in a PDF format.  The surgeon's office emailed them to me so I printed them out, scanned and saved them to the desktop.  But I just cannot get them to copy and paste into the body of a message for this forum.  I know it is a picture but what is the deal.  I know I am doing something very simple wrong or missing a step but WHAT???  I see other people doing this.  I am so computer challenged now it is not funny.  When I was in the workforce I was much more saavy...my brain seems to be going to mush.  Does anyone have advice. 

Try to save the picture to your profile first.  Then open two tabs and copy from you profile (open in 1 tab) into a post (open in a second tab).  Good luck!
