Chronic back pain? Sciatica? Anyone deal with this?

I feel for you. I have sciatica and when it flares it's the worst pain I have ever had. Even 10 x worse than labor pains, IMO. I also have chronic back pain, but not to the degree that you and Kelly have it. I don't have any advice, but wanted to offer a hug and hopes that you can get some relief. Makes me shudder to think of being in that much pain on a daily basis.

Thank you so much. I feel for anyone who has to deal with this pain. If it was just once in a while, I could deal with it better I think. But this has become continuous.

I never knew how much I would miss Advil or Aleeve until my back went out again. I WOULD never had RNY if I knew how much I would miss my simple pain pills.
Now I can't take NSAIDs and when I am in pain I have to relay on Tylenol or narcotics. That numbs the pain but do not help with inflammation - so the pain is back when the pain pills stop working.
I ask not sure if VSG or DS are your option for WLS since with either one of those you can take NSAIDs.

Im having RNY. And Im already thinking of how Im going to get by without my Aleve. But even now the Aleve doesnt seem to be helping anymore. I think Im going to seek an orthopedic doc and have more tests done to see if anything can be done. Thanks.

Yup i currently have a herniated disc with sciatica down my left leg just recently had a spinal shot in June.
