Probably not forever.  Try experimenting with differen****er temperatures.  Sometimes cold is unfriendly to a new pouch.

I am just about 6 months out now and I was the same way. I love water!! I cannot gulp the gallons I used to do, but I can still put away a bit of water. I just have to drink it a little slower. What I do now is take a great big mouth full and swallow little drinks at a time or just kind of let it run down the back of my throat slowly. The pouch fills up quickly, but luckily it empties pretty quick too of water/liquids. My neighbor has a hard time drinking water still and she's 10+ years out. I hope the best for you!

Yes try different temperature.  I can not drink it cold from the refrigerator but the tap is good.  Also I tried very water downed Crystal Light and that helped but at room temperature.

In the beginning I had a lot of trouble with cold water nor plain water. I had to put lemon or crystal light in it and It had to be room temp. I also could only take little sips. I am 11weeks out and I can tolerate plain cold water again. And I can take bigger sips. I am a happy camper again!

I had posted something very similiar after my surgery. I miss chugging water!  I can now chug about a third of a water bottle (not comfortably) but at least I can quench a thirst now! :)

I have trouble with water first thing in the morning. I HAVE to have hot tea. Sometimes at night, I have trouble, too. I find that sugar free Koolaid or something almost cloyingly sweet (but calorie free) goes down so much easier  for some reason. Also helps that I can drink those a little closer to room temperature, whereas I only like water almost frozen!
