Smoothie (yum)
i can see how salads would be easier on your tummy than other foods, since lettuce is mostly water, but I would think you'd slowly starve yourself that way!
Have you tried any beans? Or maybe a vegetarian chili? Not as tasty as a smoothie, but it does have protein. I really liked adding some plain, fat free greek yogurt to some refried beans with maybe a little salsa or cheese. That seemed to sit well with me.
I also find myself buying a lot of Morning Star foods. They taste like meat (mostly), but they seem to be a lot easier to digest. I definitely ate them before I ate meats. They have a really good mushroom burger (if you like mushrooms and peppers) and I really like to do the chicken patty one with some cheese and red sauce. Tastes just like a chicken parm!
You could probably try some eggs, too, if you haven't already. Those are hit or miss though.
Personally, I'm not allowed to have any fruits. I am allowed a little salad, but it's secondary to protein.
