Ive been stuck in the high 160's for about a month now, fluctuated a few pounds up and down, but it just seems like im stuck. I go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week for about an hour. Any suggestions?

YOU SOUNDS LIKE ME!!  Take a break!!  Give yourself a week off...up your protien...check your carb intake, drink your water and it will move....

Sometimes I wonder about stall cures.  I wonder if the last thing tried was what really broke the stall, or if it was just "time" for the stall to be over anyway.

Sleep more.  More protein.  Change workout.  More calories.  Different food combinations.  More water.  More vegetables.  More vitamins....

By the time you've tried everything, voila, the stall is over, and your body moved on.  Who knows?  But... from what I've read posted by the vets, you need to give more information about exactly what your'e eating so they can see if you are blatantly missing or overdoing something in your diet.

Best of luck from a 1-month anniversary person...

I know it may seem counterintuitive, but what about resting more and for a week or so cutting down the gym to 1-2 times instead? I have seen in the past that simply allowing the body to rest and process what's going on can be helpful.

When I was in my losing phase and stalled, I ate pizza. The real stuff. I think the extra fat and carbs always shocked my body into losing. I did this about once a month and always lost 3 pounds overnight.

Laura, that works for me too!  I just have something with fat and carbs and I will lose weight overnight!  Next day, I up the fluids to get rid of the carb craving, LOL.

Funny how our bodies work!

I keep hearing things about eating carbs to kickstart a stall. Haven't tried it, but I'm about to. I wonder if just eating something bad wouldn't make ME feel better emotionally. Then if I don't lose, I'll at least have a reason!

I know how much of a pain in the butt stalls can be, I just broke a 3+ week stall. It started 2 weeks before my period began, which has never happened before in my past. I actually gained 2-5 pounds while on my period, talk about discouraging! During my TOM I wanted to eat more than usual, and I did give into temptation at times. I didn't exercise at all, and have never since surgery. I should, I know! The last day of my period I dropped a pound, and for the next few days the loss has been consistent. Let's hope it stays that way!
