Bariatric Vitamins
I use Sundown Perfect Iron which is carbonyl iron.

I've found it at Meijer and RiteAid. However, I often get it cheaper from drugstore.com.

If you can swallow pills, there is no need to be on a chewable. So for me I never did a chewable. I take:
2 Nature made multi completes(300 tablets for 11.99 at BJ or on sale for B1G1 free at CVS)
5,000 units of dry vitamin D(bariatric Advantage cost me 7.00 for 60 at doctors office)
b 12(from Walmart is about 4.00 for 60)
b complex(from Walmart), Biotin(target for about 4.00)
3 doses of Calcium citrate with magnesium (from CVS, love it when they go on sale for B1G1 free, so 300 tablets for 12.00)
at night I take 100 mg of perfect iron by Sundown Natures(run about 5.00), and 1000mg of vitamin C from Spring valley.
I have been on Flintstones Chewables (yes I know others will think that's terrible but it works for me and at 12 yrs out my labs are good.) I use them or the generic equivalent and have never had a problem. If the pricetag on "bariatric" vitamins is hard for you to swallow - find the generic equivalent. There are other vits out there that are just as good but they're not cashing in on the bariatric name. We don't need expensive vitamins to survive post op - we just need vitamins that work. My vitamins run $5-$12 a month with the Multi, sublingual B-12 and Calcium. I take Vitron C for Iron when I need it, but that's not too often. Check with the pharmacist at your local store - they are full of good info and he/she can steer you in the right direction for vitamins that won't cost a fortune.

There are a lot of surgery nazis that will get on your case for anything and everything, I've found. My surgeon's office recommends Flinstones completes for their patients. Personally, I only made it 2 weeks before I was going to barf if I ate more of them lol. I can't wait until I can take pills instead!
