Hi everyone, I made it home today from the hospital - Woo Hoo! The pain is worse today - everyone always says the third day from any surgery/injury is the worst. I have to agree!!

Anyway, so far so good at home. I am in the lazy boy chair and thinking I may sleep in it for awhile. I may try the bed but not too sure i can get out of the bed . The stomach binder really helps. I also am going to try and take a shower tonight.

I have been drinking water, decaf iced tea, decaf hot tea & sugar free crystal light. I'm able to keep it all down - yippee!!!

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers!!

Glad you are doing well. The abdominal binder makes it much easier to turn in bed.

Everytime to doc or nurse in the hospital opened the binder to check the incisions, I definitely did not like that . As soon as they velcored it back, boy was I glad!!

Hi there QoftheU, the stomach binder is like a girdle or spanxs. It wraps around your middle, just under the boobs and all the way down to the hips. It is for support and it make everything feel better. Go to www.walgreens.com/q/abdominal-binders
So just google "stomach binder after surgery"

The lazy boy is a good thing...  I slept in it for about 10 days... then thought I could sleep in bed... well, I pulled a stich so bad I was in serious pain for 3 days... I ended up sleeping in the recliner for 3 weeks before I tried the bed again...    :-)
