Hello, I have a question that I hope someone can answer.  I take a RX Prilosec daily, and was advised to take it when I have some stomach acids built up. I always take my multivitamin first thing in the morning, then space out my other vitamins throughout the day. I want to be sure that my Prilosec will be effective when I take it, so when would be the best time of the day, when I do have stomach acids to break it down?

Thanks everyone!

I'm not a vet, but I always take my Omeprazole first thing in the morning-before my multi/B-12-and give it an hour before I take my multi.
( being almost 6 months post op, my doc told me I could stop taking the Omperazole now. )

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

prolisec - generic Omeprozole works by blocking release of acid. It does not work that well after the acid is already out.. It may take a day or 2 for a full effect. So if you take that - taking it every day - should do the trick. I take mine first am on empty pouch.

I have taken fantomine (Previcid) everyday for since surgery five and half years ago.  Will take one PRN when "Oscar" is being a grouch.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
