Boy you all sure came thru for me. Really going to get my head around eating slowly, chewing each bite longer, and taking more time to finish my portions. Maybe I have been trying to compare how I felt with the band, and there is no comparison. I love being rid of the band. You are all so great at giving us newbies advice and helping to educate us. Thanks so much for all your insight. BTW. I ate chicken tonight and felt almost too full with 4 oz. I love fish but will need to balance with denser proteins from time to time. Thanks to all of you!!

I am just so glad you posted this thread, because all of these are my concerns. I didn't think about the digestion issues with unchewed food either, so that's an eye-opener. I've been eating at a "normal" speed. I mean, I take a break between bites, but I know I'm not chewing as much as I should.

I find that I can make myself feel full, but it usually only happens with certain foods and if I eat more than I probably should. Yogurt is the one thing I eat more than 2-4 ounces of (usually 6) and I find I can't ever quite fini**** before I just feel like I should stop. But most of the time, if I really only eat what I'm supposed to, I still want more. I can't tell if it's head hunger or physical hunger, but it sure feels like the latter!
