Good bye Lane Bryant - we had a good run

I am currently wearing a shirt in Lane Bryant's smallest size... and it ain't gonna last much longer.  Lane Bryant has been my go-to clothing for like 20 years.  From ****tail dresses to yoga pants... sleep shirts to sexy lingerie - I knew I could always depend on Lane Bryant.  Of course, there was the added benefit of telling a skinny person, "Yes, this dress is awesome, but sorry it doesn't come in your size" - BOOM!

On behalf of plus sized women everywhere, Lane Bryant, I thank you.  Thank you for helping me feel my best regardless of my size.  And though I will miss you, I wouldn't want you to change and begin offering smaller sizes - I would not deny another plus sized woman the glee of having a more awesome outfit than her skinny friends.

As I continue down my road to health, I hope I can remember the lessons you taught me - beauty, class, and style are not size dependent.

Time to go shopping!

Excellent post!

I was very happy to wave bye bye to Lane Bryant and Catherine's as well ;)  I love being able to walk into any store I want to now :)  It's such an awesomely weird feeling.  Because I've never been able to do that as an adult!

I love this post!  I feel the same way.  Torrid is another place for trendy plus sized clothes.  Funny thing is, I was a size 2x before my surgery, now a size S.  I'm finding it just as difficult to find size S than I did with XXL!!!  Is the rest of the world M-L????

It is just as hard to find smaller sizes.  Most stores I go into almost always have size 8-10 not so many smaller than a size 8.  Add it being petite pants aren't the easiest to find.

I hear ya! I'm only two weeks out but looking forward to doing the same thing.  I haven't shopped for anything smaller than a 1x in 22-23 years.  I'm not sure I'll know how, lol.  My mom is a 4-6-8 depending on brand and etc, it's just as hard for her to find her size most times we go too.  But, like I told her, if I'm going to have a hard time finding my size, I would much rather it be a smaller size than a larger size :). Great post.
