Did you lose any weight between surgery & 2 week post op follow up?
So I had my 2 weeks post op follow today and lost 4 lbs. There was another lady that had surgery the same day as me and she lost 28 lbs in the last 2 weeks. I am slightly bummed but I know each person is different. I kinda panicked on the way home that "this surgery is not gonna work". I know that is silly and is not the truth. The mind can just be "mean" and make you think silly things - ugh!!

Wow, 28 lbs in 2 weeks is a LOT! One thing I will say is that your journey is YOUR journey and if you are following the plan laid out for you and doing what you need to for protein, hydration, vitamins and exercise, you will see results. Some are hares, some are tortoises, but the weight does come off!
Hugs!!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I had my pre op yesterday and I have only lost 10 pounds. I was bummed, because I was so sure I had lost more. My surgery is in two weeks, so I am doing the rest of my pre op diet now.
I'm two weeks post-op. My appointment is Thursday. I lost 15 pounds the first week, then gained a pound and haven't lost another pound since. I'm following my dr's instructions to a t, so I am assuming it has to be something to do with the surgery and swelling etc, but even if I'm swollen, wouldn't I lose weight and the fluid from swelling stay the same, giving me a lower weight? I understand what you mean by panic, Daisy142, I feel the same way. In my head I know I will lose weight, but in my heart I'm afraid of failiing.
