One step closer

Hi everyone, had my last diet class today.  Really getting excited now.  Will have my sixth visit next week and then make appointment for the Surgeon.  I will have a two week liquid diet before surgery so I am coming off carbs and caffeine now before I get there.  I will buy a good stock of decaf tea bags this weekend.  Making preparations for all the things I will need.  I will get myself put on the list for the earliest date possible if someone cancels.  I have enough sick leave at work to take all the time I need.  Will be out four to five weeks.   The only tough part will be the two week liquid diet because I work around food.  I may even ask for some of it off.  Merry Christmas to everyone.

Oh no! Do you already know you have to have open and not lap? Sorry to hear that!

Otherwise YAY and I hope you have a great recovery.

No they say it will be Laparoscopic.  Will post my surgery date when I get one.  Thanks.

Do you mind me asking why are you taking so much time off? I was out a week, my husband for two because his was a very physically demanding job.

Good luck to you!

Best wishes to you.The liquid diet seems horrible but makes us prepared for what happens after surgery. Its a good idea to wean yourself off of caffeine. There are so many things to drink which I really like is the packets of sugar free fruit punch and lemonades.I always have them when I go out. Having tools to make life easier after surgery will make your life easier.Merry Christmas.

Get some peppermint or ginger tea.  Helps with nausea.

Good luck to you!
