Weird butt calluses?
Hey everyone! I have lost ALL plumpness of my butt. It is bone with floppy, loose skin. Now, when I sit, my pelvis pushes into the chair, couch, etc. In the spots where the bones push and put pressure, I have calluses or painful, rough skin patches on my behind. They burn incredibly bad. I don't know what to do about it. It's becoming painful to sit at all. Anyone else have this problem?

Start exfoliating now. Use a dry bath brush all over your body to loosen dead cells before your shower. Use exfoliating soaps to bathe. Start using a loofah. That should start to soften and relieve the calloused skin.
Get to a gym and work with a trainer to build up some muscle in your butt and in the rest of your body. Get a "donut" cushion and carry it with you to relieve pressure when sitting.
You never thought you would need this, but "padded butt" underwear might be a good choice while this is going on.

Have them! I use a really rough loofah in the shower and I use a padded seat cushion in 90% of the places I go. I don't care if I look like a goober, I don't want a sore butt! Lots of folks tell me it usually gets better, so I am waiting it out, but might consider a more drastic solution after 2 years if not.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
I have it as well. I must sit on my right cheek more cuz that is the bad spot! I thought I was the odd one! Glad you posted this! In addition to exfoliating etc. I've been having the hubby put some vaseline on it at night before bed. The burning has gotten much better and I don't think it's as rough. I figure I used it on my baby's bums it's good enough for mine!
I have been having my hubby put lotion on my cheeks every night too. It does help a little bit, but it still hurts so bad when I sit. My left is worse than my right, and I notice I do put more pressure on my left side when I sit. I wonder if I see a doctor for it if I can get some butt implants covered by insurance....lol.
