What's on the menu today, RNY-ers? Please post!
Because of the time zone difference, I'm posting a day late on this (it's 6:15am on the 9th where I live). But here's what yesterday looked like:
Time Since Surgery: 9 months
Breakfast: Skinny latte, half wheat English muffin, PBJ
Lunch: 1 Smart Ones Black Bean Three Cheese Quesadilla
Dinner: Chicken thigh, sugar-free soy chocolate chip cookies (I'm addicted to these and so sad because I'll probably never find them in the States--they're from Spain). I'd planned to steam asparagus to go with this meal, but found I was too full to eat it.
Snacks: 1 thin slice mozzarella cheese, turkey jerky, 2nd latte (I needed a kick of caffeine in the afternoon--I don't want to make a habit of this)
Nutrition: I wound up with 1045 calories, 71g protein, my carbs were a little high at 126g (I try to stay under 120g).
Exercise/Vitamins/Fluids: today was an off day for me exercise-wise (I work out with a trainer Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday; do yoga on Monday, and get to the gym in my building to do my own thing on either Friday or Saturday, which is my "weekend" here), multi-vitamin/calcium/b12/iron/raspberry ketone fat burner (that I'm not convinced is doing anything, but I'm going to finish the bottle).
11 months since surgery.
B - grits, 1/2 protein bar
S - string cheese
L - no-bean chili with sour cream and cheese and onions... yum
S - string cheese and 2 gummy bears
D - chicken chile relleno and 5 tortilla chips with Salsa
1200 calories or so...
Completely BORING meal...
Breakfast: My version of the Mean Green Juice: Half a Grapefruit, Handful of Kale, Handful of Spinach, 1 celery stalk, 1 carrot, Few leaves of mint, Few leaves of parsley, half green apple, couple tbsp of apple cider vinegar; 1 scoop of protien - BLEND for 2 minutes. DRINK!
Snack: Low Fat Strawberry Yogurt - 80cal
Lunch: Hot & Sour soup 10 oz - 100 cal Grilled chicken 6 oz - 300 cal - both from Panda Express - YUMMY!!!!
Dinner: 1/2 chicken breast from - 160 cal and the guts from 1 Taco El Carbon - 90 cal from El Pollo Loco. Followed by the remainder of the juice from breakfast.
Snack: 25 almonds 160 cal
Total calories today - 1218
All vitamins taken. 56 oz of water.
I didn't get any exercise in today - BOOooooo!
