Well thank you! I try!

I'm also heading to the stores this weekend to stock up on veggies, seafood, chicken, and fish. Trying to leave the beef alone. I even got my babe eating like me!!! kiss Also, I'm getting our gym memberships this weekend! Its time to work it out! I'm actually excited about working out even though I have RA.

I almost didn't post, because my menu was SUPER boring today.  I made a huge crock pot of beef stew yesterday, and literally ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  (I ate mostly beef, with a couple of small bites of the veggies).

For snack, I had a cheese stick in the afternoon, and some yogurt for an after dinner snack.  I also went to a show tonight and chewed on a few tic tacs,

Definitely on track for vitamins and water.

I can't wait to put my crock pot into use! I know I better make something good since I will also have to eat it for every meal lol.

9 months out from surgery

B:  skim latte, french toast made from one multigrain sandwich flat about 3/4 egg (I crack an egg and never use the whole thing), splash of milk, diet butter spread, sugar-free syrup

L:  Syntrax Nectar protein shake (lemon/grape)

S:  Healthwise cheddar puffs

D:  4 oz. sirloin, asparagus, small roasted potato, 3 diet oatmeal cookies for dessert

1035 calories, 110 grams carbs, 97 grams protein

I'd told myself I'd raise my calories to 1,200 after the first of the year.  My trainer has been after me for months to eat more (he wants me at 1,300 calories/day).  But I find I'm either just below 1,000 calories/day or just above it.  I've gotten in to a groove of what to eat every day and I don't want to monkey with it too much.  If I'm hoping to maintain somewhere around 125 lbs., my calorie intake is going to need to be 1,200-1,600 (on exercise days--per my heart monitor, I routinely burn 350-400 calories a session).  So I might as well continue as I'm going.

Hi Karen,

Congratulations being goal weight (almost) just nine months after surgery! It seems like your diet is really working for you. I can't wait to feel "normal" again and not be obsessively weighing my food and not able to eat salads and other healthy things that are a no-no at this point. Tonight, just as I feared, the food at the bowling alley was atrocious. So I walked a few blocks to a restaurant and ate seared tuna. I wasn't even tempted by the sliders or egg rolls or fried shrimp. The pizza...well that was a little tempting :) anyway I know you're in the Middle East so your day is already well under way. Where do you live?

Have a good day!
