How often do you weigh?
Just curious - how often do you weigh, and how far out are you from surgery? AND, have your weighing habits changed?
I am trying to break out of the weigh every day cycle... my scale is misbehaving so I am giving it the silent treatment.
Any pointers on how to break this compulsion are appreciated - the little ******* is just sitting there, smugly mocking me.
Yup, my little bugger needs a swift kick once n a while as well, she loves to go UP and down all the time. Was much happier when she only went down. I still step on er daily, bad I know but I keep thinking that it keeps HER on track if I do.

Well I'm 1 yr almost 3 weeks post op and I weigh every other day. I'm having the same issues like you! Scale is went hay wire! The other day I'd weighed myself at being 190. This morning it said that I'm 153!!!!! Yeah Right! So I'd changed the battery and it still said I weighed 153. Then I said ok, how about I move it to a different location... it said 153! Even though everyone say I look smaller than 150 pounds. Now there is no way I lost 37 pounds in two days! I think that its time for a new scale! I'd just bought it a year ago.
Darn scale playing with my emotions! LOL
I am 16 week out.
I weigh at the surgeons office only.
I weighed pre op, 6 weeks and will weigh next week at 16 week checkup.
I can't be a slave to the #$%@ scale ever again. If I follow the program, I will become healthier and the weight will come off.
I am trying to listen to my body for the first time.....not a number and certainly not the SCALE !!!!

I have broken my scale obsession several times in my life. It is very freeing to not have to be confronted by my weight every day. I can relax and enjoy life much more without having to be scolded by a scale.
The downside is that every time I have done that I have been at least seven to ten pounds higher when I finally had to get weighed.
I gained six pounds over the holidays and kept saying I would not worry about it until January. Now it is January and I am worrying about it. I weigh every day now and know that it is going to take me at least six weeks to be back to my goal weight.
I am watching every calorie again. I got rid of the crackers and replaced the potato chips and onion dip with black bean chips and salsa. Today I heated up pancakes and sausage for breakfast, took one bite and put the rest in the garbage.
By being very careful I know that I can lose a pound by next Monday, but I am going to look at 142 on that darn scale every day until then.
