How much is safe to drink at once?
I've never heard that referred to as clumping before.

Clumping is discomfort from the waste up including gas, bloating, burping, up to nausea. Glad you're not experiencing that. Best of luck.
Thanks, I needed the laugh today. I am always glad when my waste goes down...though there are those that talk **** so I get the whole 'waste up' thing.
Bwahahaha!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Kathie - thanks for the validation. I was feeling like I must have read the book they gave me wrong! I'm no professional anything and don't want to give out lousy information but I was sure that right afterwards they warned me I'll b sipping small quantities every 15 minutes till I get all the protein and liquid in. Thanks for your input... I appreciate you.

I'm a little baffled as to why you would take advice from someone who had surgery two weeks ago, as opposed to a bunch of people who have been successful for many years.

Maybe change your profile pic. You have kind of an untrustworthy look. A little angry too. Bitter perhaps.

Are the horns showing - I thought it was kind of a good hair day? That picture was taken at a lovely lunch in Denver with our very own Hala (the whole picture is on my profile) - which is why I look so relaxed and sunny LOL!
Maybe I'll change it to a picture of my darling labradoodle puppy - she's cute, if a little opinionated and a definite rule breaker. She is being sent to Denver Women's prison for "retraining" in the next couple of weeks ...
On second thoughts, I have managed to stay out of the pokey for my 28 (ahem) years so maybe my picture (however angry and bitter looking ) is a better bet than my darling but naughty Syrah!

Hey there! Congratulations on your surgery!
I have never heard of clumping and I am wondering if you meant cramping, maybe?
I was cleared to eat pureed foods two days after surgery. In fact, that is what they brought me for breakfast in the hospital - pureed eggs, oatmeal, and yogurt. I stayed on pureed for 3 weeks, transitioned to soft foods for a week, then on to regular foods. Of course, every surgeon has their own plan, so my plan may differ from yours and others. I will tell you that I have not had any problems with any food, have never vomited, had the foamies, and from the day I came home, I was sipping pretty much continuously...unless I was eating and 30 minutes after. The only time I have had discomfort, not pain, was drinking milk too fast (water has never bothered me, though) and eating a bite too much of solid protein, like chicken. Even then I know it will pass it about 30 minutes and it does.
Best wishes!
