WAY OT! MY DOG ATE CHOCOLATE!!!

Hi there - I'm so sure you've gotten enough replies on this one - but I thought I add my two cents! hee hee My dog did the same exact thing a few months ago - I too was worried. However, we were told by a vet that chocolate can kill - but it's more likely to give diarreah (sp) than kill. I think it's the actual chocolate - like a candy bar that can be fatal. And I may be wrong, but I think chocolate is worse for cats than it is for dogs. Rocco (my dog) ate a entire tin of brownies (small square tin) and just had diarreah. Still, I'd call a Vet just to be sure. Robin

Don't freak out, a dog needs to eat a lot of chocolate or consistently eat chocolate on a daily basis to die or get sick or anything. If it just had a snack cake, it's not big deal. It's mostly chocolate flavored. There's more chocolate in a hershey's kiss than in that thing. Your little puppy will be fine.
