Cabin Fever

I work from home, and in addition, we have 5 inches of snow on the ground (I'm in the Pacific Northwest, where we aren't used to driving in the snow), and I am watching the grandsons who are out of school due to snow. I have been fighting boredom, head, or cabin fever hunger all day. I have done well, but it has taken every ounce of strength not to graze all day. So the grandkids and I were playing and decided we would have a PE competition. I beat both the boys in how long I could hold my plank, my 11 year old beat me in how long he held his wall sit, and we both did really well with our push ups and crunches. We had such a fun time, and we got some fitness in. But best of all, I lost the urge to eat and felt terrific that I did something positive. Now if only I can get unconstipated and lose those 2 lbs.

What a wonderful idea.

I work from home, too, and we currently have at least six inches of snow on the ground here.  Even worse, though, has been the terrible cold we've been having lately.  I've been trying to find indoor games to play with  my dog.  I think he'd totally win any PE competition.

And awesome to have PE competition!

Oh, and I'll be happy to cough on the inside of an envelope and mail it to you. I am down over 7 lbs just today from the awful virus I had since early this morning. When I woke at 3:27 today--I should have known something was up. And it was..over and over again. ;)

Thanks. I actually have 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 11 to 2 years old. They help keep me young, well, along with this surgery.

I live in Salem, OR, have lived in ND and MT so I personally am used to driving in the snow but not with people who are not used to it. Happy to be home! Good job on the fun exercise!
