I can't tell you how happy I am to log in each day and see all of the awesome participation in this thread.  I have been compiling new recipes, getting food ideas, and just generally getting a sense of what my eating will look like six months out, one year out, three years out...thanks to you all!  Keep 'em coming!

Time since surgery: Almost 8 weeks

B: Two slices of bacon and a coffee with fat-free half and half.  I had a TERRIBLE sinus headache this morning (first one post-op) and I needed a little caffeine.  I am at my parents and not at home so I don't have my scale or my protein powders which has proven to be challenging, but I am doing ok, regardless.

L: I am going to eat 7 shrimp that were sauteed in garlic and hot chili flakes for dinner last night

D: My whole family is going out to eat and I already perused the menu.  The restaurant has shrimp and chicken and tuna skewers, as well as a cheese plate, so there are options for me.  I am just really worried about getting in enough protein

V: Slowly but surely

W: I always get 64 oz + ... yesterday was more like 100 :)

E: Not today, this dull headache is preventing me from going on the treadmill :(

Totals for breakfast and lunch are 247 calories, 15 g of fat, 4 carbs, and only 20 g protein.  Gotta pack in the protein as the day goes on.

Maybe only liquids today. Day 4 - no BM. Have taken stool softeners, 3 Dulcolax laxatives, and 1 glass of Miralax since last night - nothing but gurgling. Going to take another Miralax but am afraid to put any solids in my tummy for now. UGGGH - I am tormented by constant constipation since surgery.

Ugh I am sorry to hear that!  I take a stool softener each day and if I haven't had a BM in two days, before I go to bed, I take a Senna pill.  It's a natural laxative.  And when I wake up, viola!  BM.  LOL the things we talk about online :)

Senna works great for the ultimate event but I've found taking a daily probiotic works wonders. Also benefibre in water or protein shake keeps things moving well for me. Took me a wile to figure it out but so far so good. Good luck it is the biggest drawback of WLS I think!

11 Months Out

B: I usually eat breakfast when I make my husbands but I didn't feel like eat yet do I had a peice of turkey bacon, later on I had some grits with Canadian bacon and cheese, and coffee

S: protein shake

L: turkey wrap, with banana peppers

S: banana/blueberries with honey

D: going out. Probably going to have balsamic chicken w/ spinach

ran 3.5 miles this morning. Had a little NSV, looked down at my shadow and was kind of taken back by now small it looked, made me smile.

Getting my hair cut today, I'm thinking about doing something fun... Now that my face isn't so chunky. but being a Barber/cosmetologist myself I am very critical of the people that cut my hair, kind of like a nurse treating another nurse. Anyway hopefully it goes well because I am in desperate need of a few inches off. Hope everyone has a good day :)

What an awesome NSV!  I can't wait to see a small shadow :)  I am 8 weeks out and waiting to see if my hair falls out...that will determine what kind of cut I get, I suppose.  I do have a highlight/trim on Sunday so I will keep it as is since it appears to still be staying attached to my head :)

The only reason mine fell out was because of a lack of protein, once I was out of liquid phase I didn't get enough protein in for months, because protein powder made me nauseaus. Once I got my ninja and started making my fruit/ Greek yogurt smoothies my hairloss stopped
