What's on the menu today, RNYers?
Good morning, OH friends! I've heard from a few of you that you like the energy and optimism of the string on these posts - but that's all you! My energy comes from following my plan, losing weight, exercising, and having an incredible support group of people who were initially strangers on the internet but are becoming friends! Thanks for participating with ideas and recipes on this thread everyday. I LOVE going to a meeting and getting back to my desk and seeing that y'all have commented. And because of you guys I now have the ingredients for Oopsie bread, am gonna make turkey meatballs ONE OF THESE DAYS and have some awesome ideas for cauliflower. Nothing I would have thought of before.
Time Since Surgery: 9.5 weeks
B: Egg whites, american cheese, turkey bacon (poor planning, had to go to deli in my building) UGH. I told them no oil but it's not as healthy as if I measured it out at home
L: Leftovers from last night (ended up going out with friends) - 1/3 turkey burger, one slice avocado, 3 pickles (don't you love how a turkey burger - no bun, no fries - is now 3 meals???)
S: Premier Protein shake or I will NEVER make my protein today
D: TBD - potentially tuna tartare
This would be around 650 calories, 73 g of protein, 28 g of fat, 18 g of carbs
E: 2 miles on the treadmill at 3.0 mph. I start with my trainer in a couple of weeks! ARG! I am excited!
V: Yes, yes, yes. I am doing a chewable multi morning and night, a vitamin D pill at night, and 3 calciums a day. Two Citrical petites that I swallow for breakfast and lunch, and at night my "dessert" is a Bariatric Advantage caramel 500 mg chew. YUM!
What's on your menu today?

Grrrrl I hear you! I get so bored and in a rut. Thanks for the new link! I have big plans for Saturday afternoon after going for a hike with a friend and her dog. New food, food prep! So that next week everything is made and new and delicious :) Hopefully that will be reflected in a non-boring daily post :) You get such bang for your buck when it comes to calories and protein. But you know your new NUT wants you to increase your calories...just have to throw that out there! (LOL like you need another mother, right?! ha ha)

Hey DC, I was just concerned about what you wrote with your calcium intake. If I am understanding you correctly you take 2 citrical petites (200 each x2=400mg) and 1 BA chew (500 mg) daily? 900 mg a day is only about half what RNY needs. I may have misunderstood maybe you take 2 twice a day, if so ... sorry, but even 1300 is lower than most recommendations. I take 6 generic calcium citrate petites daily plus one other 500 mg choice, either upcal D or calcet creamy bites so 1700 mg per day is my usual. Mus****ch out for our bones!
Time passed since surgery: 17 months
Breakfast: 3 cups coffee with sf creamer, Root beer float protein shake
Lunch: cheese tortellini soup. (tomato based)
Dinner: baked chicken breast and spinach salad
Snacks : yogurt, half lg apple and PB, carrots and cucumber and ranch dip
Total nutrition: I don't count most days, if I have a gain I will reevaluate :)
Exercise/vitamins/water: zumba and stretches on youtube, vitamins by my side first 2 doses done, 20 oz protein shake and 36 oz of coffee gone, I think I will make a coffee pot full of hot tea when I am finished with this post :)
