What's on the menu today, RNY-ers?

Happy Monday, OH friends!

Hope your week is off to a good start!  I could barely crack my eyes open today ;)

Time Since Surgery: 10 weeks today!!!  And I am down 57 lbs as of this morning (after a little 4 day stall).  293.6 baby!

B: One egg, scrambled, with 1.5 ounces of Boar's Head cajun turkey and 1 oz of herb goat cheese

L: D: 1/5 of a bag of Nasoya chickpea flour shirataki noodles (bag has two 2/3 cup servings but it makes five servings for me) with 1.5 turkey meatballs (99% fat free ground turkey, egg, Parmesan cheese, onion, spices) and half of a quarter cup of tomato sauce. I will sprinkle a little mozzarella on top.

D: Same as lunch.  I know, very original.  But when a package of ground turkey makes 19 meatballs, you have to COMMIT to many, many turkey meatballs (despite freezing some and giving some away)

S: Perhaps some protein powder mixed with unsweetened almond milk this evening

E: Personal training this afternoon (25 minutes) plus 35 minutes on the treadmill.  Still sore from Friday and Sunday's session but I am committed!

V: Oops, nothing yet

W: Can't drink for 20 more minutes because I just had breakfast.  But I never struggle with liquids.

What's on your menu today?

Back to the grindstone for me today too. I'm kind of happy to get back to my routine.  It was nice to see my daughter though and she surprised us by telling us she doesn't have a great deal of work next week so she is coming back home this weekend too! She is doubling majoring in Mathematical Economics and Spanish as well as minoring in Econ.  I don't know how she has time to sleep & eat!

B: protein shake...I've been hoping they would grow on me, but they are still yuck! lol

L: Homemade chicken salad.  I just eat it plain with a fork.  Sometimes I'll stuff celery with it but I'm not in the mood today.

D: I have a hankering for hamburgers.  I'm eating mine wrapped in lettuce.  I don't usually do well with ground meats so we shall see how this goes.

S: Too much coffee all day, beef jerky, peach Greek yogurt

WOW your daughter is very driven!  That's amazing.  I had a double major including Spanish and in fact next week my work is sending me to Mexico for client/prospect meetings, so tell your daughter to keep with it :)  I am also a huge fan of chicken salad.  I eat it on a cheese crisp so it kind of feels like a cracker.

Interesting that ground meat doesn't sit with you...do other cuts of meat do well?  I have not found any intolerances.  Sigh...

Yes ma'am. It is weird that ground meats do not sit well. That's the only meat I struggle with. I also do not like sweets much since surgery...good thing because I'm a dumper.

Driven is exactly the word I use to describe her. I know I'm bragging, but it's so cool to watch her. She's a smart kid, but has to work hard at it. Makes me one proud momma :)

Finally down another pound this weekend.  I've been doing Couch to 5K and some really hard cardio classes.  At this point, I'm three pounds to meet my personal goal, I wouldn't mind going a little lower (bounceback), but every pound take a million years to lose now!

B: Premier Protein shake

S: South Beach snack bar (these are really good)

L: Olive Garden Zupa Toscana (I won't eat the potatoes)

S: 1/2 apple with peanut butter

D: 2 oz of marinated pork chop (as much as I can tolerate - pork can be hard for me)

S: either pistachios or a Skinny Cow salted caramel pretzel ice cream bar

protein = 70g      calories = 888

You are three pounds away from weighing 125?!?!  That is so fricking amazing!!!  I do have to agree with the other posters from last week about how a Salted caramel pretzel ice cream bar would NOT last long in my house ha ha.  Your menu looks good and those last three pounds are going to come before you know it.  You will start summer at 125!  That must feel so phenomenal.

Kenyatta - you eat the Panera Power breakfast bowl in two meals?!  I feel like such a heifer compared to you - I had one once and I ate most of it at once.  It was delicious - the turkey, pesto, spinach and egg go well together!  Still on that machine of death, I see...

Thanks for the update and pics yesterday.  You seriously do rock 180.  You look phenomenal!

LOL @ heifer!!!!

I have a very small pouch in the mornings and lunch (sometimes) but I'm so grateful for that though. That's why I do six meals a day to ge my protein in.

Thank you so much for the compilment!!! I'm loving my 180 pound body! Curves are in the right places! But I'm not stopping there!
