I had a rough weekend, my pouch seems to be fighting pureed foods (other than the ricotta bake), so we'll see.

Time Since Surgery - 5 weeks

Breakfast - Fage 2%

Lunch - Premier Protein

Dinner - Not sure yet.  Maybe another protein shake or a ricotta bake.  Depends on how hungry I feel.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Oh dodger girl, I am sorry to hear that :(  You can make a simple version of ricotta bake by putting a few tbsp of ricotta in a small bowl, adding some italian seasoning and about a tbsp of sauce and microwave it for 20 seconds.  Also delish, and easy!  At least you can tolerate protein shakes and get your protein in.  I had no issues or intolerances, but it seems that people who did, quickly felt better so you're on the mend I would say!

Happy Monday !

Love the turkey meatballs. Once they are cooked up they are a "quick, go to" meal.  Enjoy your training today. Three days in a row might make you a LiTtLe sore. Drink, drink, drink water and don't over do it.

7 months since surgery -

B:  one slice turkey bacon

S:  missed

L:  piece of Jenni O Turkey Loaf (White Turkey Loaf/gravy in the pan) Lettuce

S:  one turkey jerkey (Trader Joes, kind of bland but it'll do)

D:  Grill chicken salad (adding some pomegranate seeds/cucumber to the lettuce) w/onion dressing

S:  Klausen Pickle, 1/2 Greek Yogurt, handful of pork rinds

V:  On track

E:  son has baseball practice today so I'll jog around track before I take him home (this will surely embarrass him beyond belief! That's why I do it!)

Tomorrow I'm trying 2 new recipes - excited! I've been reading recipe books like they are romance novels, scouring for protein forward ideas.

Take care

Debb - look how close you are to goal!  I love that you embarrass your son.  Is he in middle school/high school?  Remember how we used to think our parents were soooooo embarrassing?  ha ha, it's a rite of passage I suppose.

I am looking for a good turkey jerky - good to know that the Trader Joe's are bland.

I totally geek out on high protein low carb recipes too!  I like the author Dana Carpender.  She has a bunch.  Share any good (and hopefully easy) recipes that you try out!

He's 16 and the last one at home. He gets ALL our attention. LOL  He plays varsity baseball (high school) & on a traveling summer baseball league. Also plays JV basketball. Keeps me running.

I am near "goal" (YEAH) but have lost weight V.E.R.Y. slowly since surgery. Sometimes I read what others have lost & how quickly and then wonder what I'm doing wrong. I just keep plugging away and try not to get discouraged. One step at a time...Every person IS different.

DCGirl, yes...3 pounds from 125.  It is surreal to me too.  I don't think I've weighed that since elementary school for sure.  Now starts the real work of maintenance.  I'm scared!  I'm really strict with my plan and have started making exercise a part of my life.  I also plan to stay on this forum to stay inspired.

I know a lot of people have said the S**** Cream bars are a red light food for them, but I'm not that into sweets and I've never eaten more than one in a day.  Trust me, there's lots of things I don't have this type of control with, and they don't even come into my house.....my poor family doesn't even know what a starchy side dish is anymore.  None of us are eating rice, pasta, bread., except at restaurants!

I don't eat that stuff in restaurants, either, but I do allow my family to order that stuff if they chose, just to clarify!

Your lucky family, to have you around and cook the right things for them!  We always had a starch side dish growing up.  Rice or pasta and bread usually.  That's probably where I learned my love of carbs lol.  Now your family gets to eat much healthier as a result of you doing the meal management!
