Hi OH friends!  Remember me gloating that it was 65 in DC this weekend?  Well, today it's snowing LOL.  I am in an extremely happy mood because I just got my FitBit weekly report and last week I took 52,307 steps, walked 21.84 miles, climbed 36 flights of stairs, and lost 4 lbs.  Life post-op just keeps getting better and better!

Time Since Surgery: 10 weeks and 1 day

B: Premier Protein shake - got the chocolate ones from Amazon (must get my ass to Costco where they are MUCH cheaper)

L: 1/5 of a bag of Nasoya chickpea flour shirataki noodles (bag has two 2/3 cup servings but it makes five servings for me) with 1.5 turkey meatballs (99% fat free ground turkey, egg, Parmesan cheese, onion, spices) and less than half of a quarter cup of tomato sauce with a little mozzarella on top, and 3 brussel sprouts roasted in the oven with spices.

S: Weigh****chers cheese stick and 2 oz Boar's Head turkey breast

D: TBD - friends are coming into the city for dinner and I told them to choose.

E: After 3 personal training sessions in the last 4 days, and a 4 mile hike the day I didn't train, I need a BREAK!  My body hurts all over.  Even sitting on the toilet hurts (hamstrings?).  It's crazy!  It's a good hurt but boy....I am sitting on an exercise ball at my desk today.

V: Took my multi, my two dreaded "petite" calcium citrate pills, and a vitamin D pill.  On track so far.

W: I will get it all in, though I am only at 11 oz so far

What's on your menu today?

65 lbs in four months!  Awesome!  I wish these damn tickers would work - would love to see your starting weight and goal.  Your lunch sounds amazing.  Now I am totally craving chicken and feta and artichoke!  I am not quite ready for salads, I don't think.  Also, I struggle to get more than 70 g of protein a day so if I fill up on lettuce I think I am really gonna have issues.  Maybe in a month or two :)  I am only two months out so I guess that makes sense.

I haven't moved to any bars just because of my personal low carb plan.  (And I definitely don't preach low carb to people who lose while eating carbs and people who aren't triggered to eat a pound of pasta when they have carbs lol...I am just not that disciplined apparently).

If I have salad I use one of those choppers that look like scissors and cut everything up really small.I try to cook for three days when I am off on Mondays.I hate to have to go out.I am fine but I like to cook for  my family.

My starting weight when I went to the doctors was 302 pounds. When I had the surgery it was my surgery weight was 291.My highest was 322 if you see my picture with my son on my profile that was when I was like holy crap I need to do something.I never say myself looking like that when I look in the mirror. When I saw the picture it really registered.

The protein bars that I eat occasionally are really tasty but I do get afraid that I will eat more than one. They are about nine carbs. I like them.I am totally for protein and veggies at most meals.I usually save the bars for when everyone else is having dessert so I can have something sweet also.

I haven't really set a long term goal for my weight yet. I will when I go to my PCP maybe next month.

I hear ya - I have seen a few pictures and I was like "WHAAAA?".  I always thought I looked kind of good lol.  So you can imagine my confidence today, being down over 50 lbs.  LOL.  People are probably like "Why does that chick walk like she thinks she is a model because she is sooooo not a model" ha ha.  I randomly picked a goal weight of 170 but this was not set by my doctor.  I am tempted to change it to 175 for the simple reason that I would then lose 175 lbs and weigh 175 lbs.  That is probably NOT how a goal weight should be set :)

Keep your head held up high.Let them think you are a model.I know I have a ways to go.I just want to do small goals.I feel I get overwhelmed when the number is so far away.So I am going to try to keep on moving and being happy for every pound lost and for the NSVs.

Wow! I have got to get me a fitbit! Would over to see my progress with exercise. That's def on my list.

it was 40 on Saturday and I was happy to get an outdoor walk in but today it is 19. That is way too cold to go on an outdoor walk for me. I see people outside running when it is 0 degrees and I don't know how they do it. Not me!

9 weeks and 5 days post surgery for me. I'm right behind you!

B- boiled egg and 1oz of cheddar cheese

S-pure protein chocolate shake with pb2 (42g of protein)

L- I think I am going to try 2 whole grain wasa crackers and 2 T of roasted red pepper hummus, a spear of dill pickle.  I'm guessing this would be about 3 oz. what do you think?

D- I'm not quite sure yet. Maybe 2 oz of deli turkey wrapped around pickle and 3 Parmesan crisps

E- 30 min elliptical (400 calories)

V- on track (oh I hate those "petite" calcium pills) must get to the bariatric center and buy some calcium chews

W- for the first time since surgery I have wanted something besides water. So I made some crystal light and I am drinking a lot more fluids today. Not a huge fan of artificial sweeteners so I will limit it.

Have an awesome day everyone!

Wow have you lost 60 lbs since surgery?  Amazing.  Your menu looks good to me too.  I didn't even think about adding pb2 to a pre made pure protein drink.  I am gonna try that.  I sadly cannot estimate your lunch because I have found that I am TERRIBLE at estimating and I use my kitchen scale for every meal.  The petite calcium pills are the WORST.  I am obsessed with the Bariatric Advantage chews (both caramel and chocolate peanut butter) but since they have calories and carbs, I only let myself use it once a day (at night - it's seriously like a dessert).  I got them on amazon.com.  I frequently have crystal light to add some zest to my water.  I don't mind artificial sweeteners apparently lol.

Have an awesome day too, and congratulations on your awesome loss so far!

well! it's actually 60 pounds from my top weight. That was when I first saw my surgeon. I've lost 49 pounds since surgery.

i prob should have weighed my lunch. Kind of hard to stick those crackers in a 2oz cup. Lol I do know that the package said they were 13 g a piece so 2 of those would make an oz. I STILL do not have any feeling of fullness. Ugh!! Maybe I do I just have never let myself get to that point because I meticulously measure all meals. (Can't wait to add snacks at 4 months!)

my protein shakes are made from a mix. I am lactose intolerant and I didn't want to chance the premade ones. Plus it says to add 8 oz of milk and I found that made the shake to strong so I add 12 oz. it gives me 4 more oz of protein. I'm getting around 75 g of protein a day. When I can eat more protein from food I'm going to switch to almond milk to save on calories.

I rarely feel restriction either ... once or twice I had an extra bite I shouldn't have, or ate just a little too fast and got the foamies, but I generally do not feel full EVER :(  I measure using a scale, because I am not stuffing all of my food into a quarter cup.  By weighing I can measure ounce (weight) instead of size (volume).  It sucks you turned lactose intolerant :(  I am so sorry.  I love the almond milk.
