What's on the menu today, RNY-ers?
There are lots of brands - at our Harris Teeter supermarket they are in the refrigerated section by the tofu, which is in the produce area. You HAVE to rinse them multiple times and then boil them for a minute or two or they smell fishy (no idea why, fish is not an ingredient!) http://www.nasoya.com/products/pasta-zero-shirataki-spaghett i
Breakfast protein shake
lunch final day of leftover chili
snack: Greek yogurt
dinner: Korean style marinated roast. I am trying a new recipe for veggies my friend suggested. I am broiling tiny lettuce gems. For the rest of the family I am adding honey gazed carrots and rice.
Exercise: 40 minutes elliptical 30 minutes Zumba and 60 minutes power pilates
I will let you know how they turn out. I am on a roasted/broiled veggie kick lately, but I am not sure about these. I love experimenting with all the different ways to cook healthy foods. I usually do between 2-3 hours of exercise 5 days a week. I do an hour of cardio 5 days, pilates 2 days, and weights 3 days. Then 3 days a week I add a core class. On Saturdays I like to do a quick run down by the beach with my husband and sometimes dog. I slacked off on the core work over Christmas and my back started giving me problems. Once I started back with core and pilates my pain went away. I honestly didn't think it made that much difference, but I refuse to skip a day now.
