Hi OH friends,

We are freezing here in DC!  I am off to Philadelphia this weekend to meet up with some college friends, and then off to Mexico on Monday for a business trip for 5 days.  I just got home from personal training (thank god for a flexible work schedule!) and this is going to sound crazy, but I am kind of dreading these trips because I am in SUCH a great routine.  I know I can stick with eating the way I am supposed to (I see a lot of grilled chicken, salsa and guacamole in my future!) and I will go to the gym at the hotel, but I really would rather work with my trainer here.  I know life is gonna happen and I have to be prepared for this - I'm just venting to y'all because I know you understand!

I probably won't post this weekend so please feel free to take the reigns, Ceithlenn or anyone else who wants to!  I know this post keeps me accountable :)

Time Since Surgery: 11 weeks this coming Monday

B: Tara's Whey (Whole Foods) chocolate protein powder (ick, won't be buying that again), blended with PB2, unsweetened almond milk, one packet of splenda, 4 ice cubes

L: Leftover turkey chili I made for SuperBowl (and froze).  With some diced onions and cheese on top.

D: No clue.  Something from the freezer, so my best guess is shrimp or a veggie burger.

S: Ugh, maybe another protein shake?  I will never make my protein numbers without it.

E: 25 minutes treadmill at 3.2 and 30 minutes personal training (ouch but in a good way!)

W: 40 oz in so far

V: Took my multi, my vitamin D, and gagged down my two Citrical petites

What's on your menu?

Emily :)

We are expecting another snow storm this weekend! 6-10 inches and they are predicting the numbers will be higher. Got my grocery shopping done this morning so we are good to go.

My mom flys in tomorrow and I am anxious to see her. She came when I had my surgery and stayed with me at the hospital. She was so excited for me. I hope she can see a dramatic change in my appearance. It's true what they say about our minds not keeping up with our bodies. I just wished this darn stomach would go down.

I met with a trainer yesterday and oh boy am I sore today. I can't imagine meeting with one several days in a row but you go girl!

time since surgery: 10 weeks and 1 day!

B- boiled egg with Tabasco, 1oz extra sharp cheddar cheese

S- pure protein frosty chocolate powder mixed with 12 oz ff milk and 1 T pb2

l- cracked pepper turkey, pickle, 3 Parmesan crisps

D- not sure yet but prob some turkey taco soup since I am making potato soup for the family

E-I'm sore but I am going to make myself get on the elliptical and burn 400 cals. Maybe I can talk the family into going to the Y tonight and hit some machines.

W- good

V- got to catch up!

Ok, lots of points to hit on here!

6-10 inches of snow?!  I will stop complaining about our cold.  We get very little snow in DC, but being from MI, I remember those days very well!

That's awesome that your mom was so supportive!  She might cry when she sees you at the airport!  My mom wants to visit me almost monthly to see my progress LOL.  She is SO excited for a huge shopping trip once I meet my goal weight.  It's so nice to have loving and supportive families :)

That's awesome that you met with a trainer too!  My sessions are only 25-30 minutes so if you did an hour, you must be sore!  Isn't it great how they push you further than you would ever push yourself?  Today we worked my "obliques".  I didn't even know what obliques were.  But I sure do now!

You and I have very similar food tastes. I would gladly eat everything on your menu today!  Have a great weekend and have so much fun with your mom.  Keep us posted on her reaction!

I heard you guys were getting a crazy storm!  My colleague from Indy was here yesterday and she was anxious to get home today before your 99th storm of the year LOL.

You and me...we love the Pasta Zero shirataki noodles!  No one else does!  LOL - I want to get people to eat them so they continue to stock them at my grocery store!

Now stay clothed in that hot new bod of yours this weekend and don't catch a cold ;)

Hey Debb!  The work parties were fun, thanks for asking :)  I got to see some people I hadn't seen in months, and while no one said "You've lost weight" they were all complimentary and said I looked great.  That's always nice to hear :)  Although I have to face the reality that I had gained so much weight that losing almost 60 lbs isn't even super obvious!  WTF?!

Don't you love how a meal is now 3 or more?  I used to be able to eat a heaping Chipotle burrito PLUS chips for one meal.  Now I can get a Chipotle burrito bowl, no rice no beans, and it's four meals.  I haven't been to Qdoba in some years - may check it out again.

That's so awesome you have a gym now!!!  I have to say, I love it.  I never ever ever ever (times infinity) thought I would be a person who enjoyed the gym.  (Seriously, any pre-ops reading this...I was soooo lazy!).  I hope you love it and the pool is always nice and relaxing (and so easy on the joints!).  Have a great weekend!

Morning, we are back to the yucky rain, but it's much needed! I don't like water restriction......I like long showers lol we went to the gym yesterday and did arms, oh my I won't be lifting my arms above my head anytime soon! Going later to day and meeting with a trainer for the 1st of 3 sessions. I am loving the gym all of a sudden and the scale does too! Down 2lbs just need it to keep moving down not up. Momma needs a new pair of jeans!

My eats for today:

b: mini eggo waffle with half a banana and some butter and syurp, coffee as always

l: I think meatballs again with a salad, but we ended up going out last night and I got chicken lettuces wraps so maybe the leftovers of that

d: the chicken that we were going to cook up and some veggies maybe rice......

s: Greek yogurt, string cheese, protein shake, and the other half of the banana

w: haven't started yet but yesterday I got in 2 1/2 24 oz bottles so doing better!

Oh yeah...you guys are getting the Storm of the Century, aren't you???  Yes, a drought isn't good for anyone.  But I did hear LA was going to get more rain in 24 hours than they do in a year, normally.

Awesome you got a trainer - I am obsessed with going to personal training.  They push me and show me new things every time. Also awesome that you  love the gym :)  I never thought I would be that person, but I am.  It's a miracle.  It's also a lot easier to move a lighter body.  And I need new jeans too!  Have a great training session and a great weekend!
