What's on your menu today, RNY-ers?
Hello all, I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday was my least session with my trainer and he mentioned seeing changes. I've been feeling down because the scale hasn't moved, but after getting home I realized there is more skin than fat in my tummy (if that makes sense) and I moved to another hole in my belt so I guess all the hard work is paying off. I also went to a mexican restaurant, which I LOVE, and I got the steak and focused on that but allowed myself to have a few bites of each rice and beans. We than went to a hockey game and I had a few peanuts and maybe a handful of popcorn. That's huge for me because the last game I went to I ate half of the bucket and than had icecream.... Relearning to love my tool and how to use it is a slow process but it is paying off. Sorry this ended up being so long. Thanks for reading, now my eats.
prebreakfast: I woke up hungry so I had a string cheese later some coffee
breakfast: ham and Swiss eggbites, made it in the bigger muffin tin and I'm not sure if I liked them as much, few bites if hashbrowns
lunch: leftover flank from last night so yummy, homemade mac and cheese, salad
dinner: chicken taco salad
snacks: nature valley protien bar, protein shake before the gym, Greek yogurt and chocolate chips for dessert
w: never enough v: about to take them e: today is run day
totals: c: 1150 c:79 p:97 not to bad
That's awesome that you are seeing changes! I know how frustrating it is to not see the scale move, but it sounds like you are really toning up! I had to buy new jeans this weekend and ummm...the size was not too different than what I was wearing before, so apparently my old clothes were stretched??? It was very depressing but like you, my other clothes are not fitting so I know there are changes happening in my body. Awesome that your trainer sees a difference. Usually the people who see us all the time, don't notice.
I haven't tried the big muffin tin, but I find that I love egg bites when they have strong cheese and salty meat :)
Hey all. Sorry I've Been MIA this weekend, I had an awesome birthday/birthday weekend. My husband took the day off Thursday to spend with me and we got massages and lunch. Then this weekend we went out to Japanese Steakhouse with friends. Also got my gown for the military ball. Size 7! freaking 7, and the last pants I bought were a 4. Never in my life did I think I could fit into single digit clothing. It's surreal My 1 year surgiversary is on Thursday, and the difference is like night and day.
Anyway,
Breakfast: 1 Scrambled egg w/ salsa and cheese
Snack: Protein Shake
Lunch: Japanese Steakhouse Leftovers
Dinner: Salmon w/ Lemon and Dill, corn on the cob
Snack: WW Popsicle if my calories allow
vitamins: Need to get 2 more doses of calcium in and then multis before bed
exercise: ran 5.5 miles this morning, stupid fitbit was dead so it didn't count my steps. Grrrr
