Grrr hubby is working late which means no gym time for me. It's been 3 days and I am getting grumpy! Being a stay at home mom, with no car, this has become my time and I miss it. Hopefully baby girl feels better so we can walk to the gym. Thanks for letting me vent! Trying very hard to not eat crap right now.....

Hello Everybody,

I had a minor victory last night, it was the first time since surgery that I went out to dinner with friends and was able to eat w/o getting sick.  That was really nice.  I"m thinking I just need to be really conscious of eating ground meats right now as they seem to go down a lot easier than pieces of meat.

7 weeks, 1 day out

B - Greek yogurt

L - Premier Protein Shake

D - Leftover Kofta Kebabs w/ hummus

Cals - 645, Protein - 76, Carbs - 25

W - On track for 80oz

Vits - On track

E - 30 min walk at lunch (I join the gym next week and I have to say I'm inspired by all of you and looking forward to it)

Have a great day everyone!

Great news about not getting sick at a restaurant :)  I find that I can always tolerate fish (especially sushi) when out, and maybe 3 oz of grilled chicken.  Fajitas are always good for me, like if I get shrimp ones I can eat the shrimp and onions.  I love kebabs!!!

I love that we inspired you to join a gym!  You will hopefully love it!  I find my gym to be really welcoming and I love my trainers.  Fingers crossed it's an amazing experience for you too.

Thanks for the advice DCgirl.  I love fajita's so I'm sure I'll be trying those in the very near future (and of course sushi which is my favorite :).

I think it helps that I'm at the point with my weight loss that I'm feeling so much more energy that the idea of doing something active after work is really enticing.  Seeing so many people get so much exercise in each day is truly motivating.  So as always thanks for the post.  Glad to hear Zumba went well for you last night!

You always eat so sensibly :)  I don't feel satiated having yogurt as dinner, even this soon after surgery.  It's awesome that it works for you!

Sorry you are having sleep issues :(  I used to make bad food choices when I was super tired :(

For some reason watching Food Network just makes me think how badly I used to eat, and doesn't make me want to eat it again.  Lucky for me.  If it makes me start craving fries or something, I will turn it off!  The alternative is CNN where I get to hear all about the missing plane from Malaysia. I hate to fly, so I reallllly dislike that story!

You are so nice. You always are so caring.Last night was the only night that I had problems sleeping.Since the surgery I can sleep which is a great thing.

The food network can make me starving jus****ching.I won'****ch the news.Everyone says I live behind rose colored glasses.I will take my glasses.I hate to see horrible things. When I know there are good things happening in the world going on to and they won't report about that.

I am trying to get to the bottom of my months long tummy troubles.  I thought it was just the gluten but I think it could possibly be lactose so...  after months of putting it off I am now on a hardcore elimination diet.  Today is day 2.  Heaven help me!

B:  choc whey prot powder with water

S:  1 oz pecans with peach and carrots

L:  1/2 cup chili with 3 oven fries (made chili cheese fries for my family, lucky little cheese eaters!)

S:  choc whey protein with water, 1/2 cup pistachios

D:  is in the crockpot, pulled pork with onions, carrots and onions along with homemade sauer kraut, I will have the pork and kraut and maybe or two bites of carrot

S:  An apple with some nuts

Exercise:  shoveling the FABULOUS amounts of snow that are drifting to four feet in my yard and running after my children who are driving me berserk.  I am  afraid I am gonna start screaming at them they are driving me so nuts so I am gonna gear them up, put them in the sled, and drag it all over town, in this snow that will be a killer workout and will hopefully settle them down FOR HEAVENS SAKE!!!!

I know I am only on day 2 but i think the lactose might be part of the problem.  I am starting to feel a little more normal.  I HATE the idea of giving up lactose containing dairy but I LOVE the idea of being free of tummy troubles.
