3 months and a world of difference - Thank you all! (includes pics)
Thanks for the detailed story along with the amazing pics - and yes you can see a major difference. I am a newbie. Today I am 3 weeks out. Days like yesterday where I couldn't drag my but off the couch because I felt like cr*p, I need these motivational stories! I read these boards every day!
Thank you again!
Rebecca
Hey Rebecca! Congrats on being on this side of the loser's bench :) I know at 3 weeks out I still had moments of being tired, and I definitely had some emotional mood swings lol. But I have truly found that once I drag my ass off the couch, I really do enjoy the gym. Plus, the lighter you get, the easier it is to exercise :) I may still be the biggest person at my gym but I love knowing that I will continue to shrink lol.
At three weeks out I still had hardly any restriction, so I was still doubting my ability to do this. I have to eat dense protein or I can eat quite a volume of food! I hope you have an awesome journey and keep us posted on here!
I just love you Dcgirl! Your post says it all and I feel the same way about everyone on this site, they are all so supportive. Not only do you look amazing but you look younger and happier now. Thank you for creating the “What’s on your menu today, RNY-ers" - I love looking to see what I can eat in a few weeks and get ideas. Your life sounds amazing with all the travel and friends and I know you will continue to be successful. You're an inspiration!!!
Think of me tomorrow (Tuesday) as I head into my RNY. I'm ready for a healthier life and to sit beside you on the losers bench.
Lori
Hi Lori! YAY! Tomorrow is your day! I swear, of course you will feel nervous - it's natural to feel nervous - but you will rock this! Just think, any discomfort you will have is TOTALLY temporary and your life is about to improve for the better in ways you can't even imagine. I literally have one regret, and that is...not doing this so much sooner!!! I'm also glad you like the menu post. I didn't do it this weekend but I will go post it now.
And screw all the people who haven't noticed the change...apparently everyone on here notices, as do I, so I am gonna rock all this newfound confidence all of your posts today have given me :)
I will be thinking of you and rooting for you tomorrow. A one hour procedure will change your life forever.
:)
