Complication 5 yrs out

I had this happen to me twice post op after RNY Gastric Bypass surgery. First time was 3 years post op although I had been having signs of it as early as 6 months after my surgery. The pain would come and go lasting varying amounts of time. Finally at 3 years the pain wouldn't subside and I had to go to the ER. I was taken to the OR for emergency surgery. At 5 years post op it happened again. I really believe that the incidence of this complication is much higher than is being reported. Beware if you have symptoms. This is a LIFE THREATENING emergency.
