Having the day from Hades here.  I walked into my classroom this morning to discover my window open & my computer missing.  I had to deal with reports my whole planning.  UGH!!!!

B: greek yogurt while talking with the police

L: spinach salad (not much because I spent most of my lunch answering questions from my principal)

D: homemade garlic chicken

S: jerky...protein shake

V: late, but I only have one more dose to go

W: way behind & that NEVER happens

E: I'm certainly going to need it to work off this disaster of a day before I head home to my girls...

Oh noooooo I am so sorry :(  That is terrible.  I can't believe someone stole your computer.  Ugh.  I bought an external backup disc and I back up my computer every few weeks and specifically before I travel.  For just this reason.  I really feel for you - that's so terrible.  Good for you for having spinach salad and homemade chicken, instead of turning to something really bad and fattening!

Awe! Thanks for your concern. I just backed up a lot from my computer to my Dropbox last week as I was doing some "spring cleaning". It's just a frustrating hassle to deal with everything. Then, it made everything off today. I felt like I was running a step behind. But the day is over & I didn't turn to food. POSITIVE!! :)

I so love your posts and the replies to them. Four days post op for me so it is all liquid at this point but I am soaking up the great ideas and recipes that you all are posting.

Cold and dreary here in Pittsburgh, PA. but it is supposed to be 50-60 range by the end of the week. One can only hope!

Kim - we have all been there and feel your pain!  Plus, plans vary greatly!  For example I was on full liquids for two weeks and then went to soft food, no pureed food required.  My first meal was egg salad, and a ground chicken patty that night.  I celebrated New Years Eve with half of a ground chicken patty and a lot of water!  LOL

Don't be afraid if you're not full from 2-3 oz of food when you graduate to food - I know I didn't feel "full" until I guess the nerves in my stomach healed and I was seriously afraid I was not operated on!

Also, (not to hijack this post lol) but don't be freaked out if you have some serious mood swings in the next few weeks.  I am a really positive and upbeat person but I had some low moments there after surgery.  By maybe 6 weeks out I was back to normal :)  It's such a huge transition for your body.  But I promise when you're a couple months out you will wonder why you didn't do this sooner :)

Hi all! I rarely post my menu because I think mine is so boring compared to some of your menus but here goes...

time since surgery: 13 weeks and 5 days

B: fried egg, 2 pieces precooked bacon, 1/2 slice sharp cheddar cheese

S: 1 scoop strawberry protein powder, 10 oz skim milk (getting ready to switch to almond milk to save calories, I've been hitting my 70 grams of protein goal easily so I think it's time to change)

L: 2 wasa flat crisps(cardboard),  1oz roasted red pepper hummus, 2oz rotisserie chicken, couple of slices of tomato

S: whole lemon with salt (I crave this)

D: 1 oz turkey jerky, small vine ripe tomato

v: good

w: could be better

E: 30 min on elliptical

my fitness pal calculates my day as 798 calories(I notice this this creeping up) and 84 grams of protein

i am queenbmamafranks on MFP if anyone would like to request me.

Queenbmamafranks!  I always scope out your menu on MFP - thanks for sharing it here :)  You should totally be sharing your menu - 75 lbs lost in 3 months...tell us what you are having to get to that!  The almond milk will definitely save calories - with 30 calories and .5 g of carbs in unsweetened almond milk, it's a win/win!

This craving for a whole lemon with salt...well I find it hilarious actually!  But what a great, no calorie snack :)

I have tried 3 brands of turkey jerky and cannot find a brand I love.  It's the consistency of tough leather that's an issue for me.  Which sucks because I need non-refridgerated options for when I travel.  Ugh.  Glad you like it!

Hi!  It is a little late to post but it helps me evaluate my day so here goes:

B:  a pile of almonds and pecans and green peppers and broccoli

L:  salad, sauteed green beans, steamed broccoli and 1/2 cup black beans and garbanzo beans, one hard boiled egg

S:  1/2 cup curried chicken salad (with mayo, celery and sliced almonds)

D:  3oz hamburger patty and sauteed onions, zucchini and tomatoes

I am a little low on protein (for me) so I will probably have a snack later, maybe hummus and carrots?

Fluids:  great improvement here!  I got lots of water today, so far 92 oz, and will get more later.  Which is good, my body is fighting the good fight and needs fluids!

I finally saw the doctor today regarding the esophagitis I have been dealing with.  he officially diagnosed Candida Esophagitis and Systemic Candida.  Not good but at least I have some answers.  I have a solid treatment plan and he said that I should add back beans which I had cut out last week fearing that they were making me worse.  Hallelujah for beans!!!!  My life is going to be so much easier now.  It is challenging to have such a restrictive diet but it is amazing how wonderful food tastes.

Yay for a diagnosis, Louise!  That must be a huge relief.  And it's never too late to add to the post.  I know people have told me privately that they really like to read the post and get ideas.  I know I get a lot of ideas!  Way impressed with your fluid intake.  I am almost up to 60 oz.  Not good.  I know I need to be better.  Sometimes I try those no-calorie flavor drops to make the water more appealing :)

Good luck on your treatment plan and keep us posted!
