What's on the menu today, RNY-ers?
Hello everyone! DC girl I hope you have a fabulous time tonight! Honestly I am so glad I am not on the dating scene. I've been married 14 years and I couldn't imagine dating. Hope it's a good one for you! :-)
Time since surgery: 14 weeks
B: 6 T of southwestern egg beaters, 2 slices bacon, 1/4 slice cheddar cheese, salsa
S: half lemon with salt
L: 1 oz turkey jerky (not my fav but lots of protein), 1 oz hot and spicy peanuts, 3 grape tomatoes
S: 8oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 scoop strawberry protein powder
D: Not sure yet but we are going out for dinner so I will prob have a salad since I have hit my protein goal. I'm so glad I can tolerate salads. I haven't had any bad reaction to foods as of yet. The only time I got the foamies was when I swallowed 2 calcium "pettite" pills. I was in a hurry and well I learned my lesson. I didn't throw up but on I was close.
684 cals, 75 g protein, 39g carbs, 32g fat, 12 g fiber
Carb count is a little lower than yesterday. I've been able to get my calorie count down also. It was creeping up into the 800's. I do think it's a good idea to vary our calorie count so our bodies don't know what to expect. If that makes any sense.
V: on track
E: 30 min elliptical, taking my girl to the mall tonight to get some more walking in. I try and beat my step count from the previous day(I have a fitbit flex.)
W: need to get on it!
I love my FitBit too! Thats awesome that you try to outdo the day before :) I am the same! And yes, do not be envious of single people who are dating. It's crazy out there!!!!
I also noticed at one point that my calories were creeping up a bit but my protein was staying the same. I think it's all the fat in the cheese that I love so :) I'm not in a stall but I am more in a small plateau right now, so maybe varying it would work. I have one friend on here who swears that eating mashed potatoes breaks her stalls lol. I am not going to do anything differently - will just keep plugging away!
I haven't tried to eat a salad as a meal. I have had baked kale chips, and spinach in a quiche. Haven't just sat and ate lettuce though. Nothing bothers this stomach of steel either. Food-wise I mean. I have had the foamies a few times, and they are NOT fun.
Have a great weekend!
P.S. Those calcium "petites" are anything but!!!!
Good luck on your date. I like the new avatar.
