What's on the menu today, RNYers?

Well this is the earliest you will ever see me post! I couldn't sleep and so I just got up and cooked :)

I am officially in a stall. I went UP a pound since last Thursday. No point in freaking out-it happens to all of us, I haven't had a BM in days, and my TOM is Wednesday. I am a rational person-I know I'm doing everything I'm supposed to and went to the gym 4x last week and kept it at or under 700 calories with at least 65 g of protein so I just have to ride this out. But these damn doubts creep in and emotions too! Grrrrrr lol!

Anyway since I have a birthday dinner for a friend at an Italian restaurant tonight I had to be very careful with menu planning. So here goes:

Time since Surgery: 15 weeks I think

B: half a packet of Syntrax nectar fruit punch now, 3 Oz of deli turkey at work after my coffee

L: a salmon pattie I made with fresh salmon, Italian herbs, 1/4 cup bread crumbs and diced onion. Each one has approximately 250 calories and 25 g of protein. I am bringing them in to share at work because I don't want to/can't eat six myself :)

S: Syntrax Matrix strawberry shake with unsweetened almond milk

D: 2 Oz of cheese at this restaurant where everyone will be mowing down on bread and pizza and pasta. I will get the overpriced cheese plate and be merry :)

Without dinner, I am at 550 calories, 14 g of carbs, 60 g of protein, so I should do well today.

E: none today-worked out extra hard yesterday in anticipation

V: took my morning regimen

W: gonna up my water intake. Stalls don't feel good!

What's on your menu today? Em

Not a stall LOL  just a pause (TOM water and S**T).  Stalls last a month or more.   I am up early every weekday, DH leaves the house by 6am!

Salmon patties sound DELISH.  Question for you and the others who post here: Do you stick to what you post or change it up as the day goes by?  I tend to change at least one thing if I post early, usually a snack.  The only way my post is accurate to my actual intake is if I post at the end of the day LOL

Time passed since surgery: 18 months

Breakfast: 3 c coffee with sf creamer & splenda, 1 egg 7g on 1 slice low carb bread, 1 slice cheese 3g (open face egg sandwich)

Lunch: Chicken salad

Dinner: BBQ pulled pork (will cook in crock pot all day)

3 Snacks: Syntrax Nectar protein lemon tea 23g, Jack Links Turkey Jerky, micro popcorn

Total nutrition: I keep a rough total of daily protein :) I get 46g with my 3 standard snacks, plus breakfast, lunch and dinner. So no worries

Exercise/vitamins/water: beginners yoga/vitamins 2 batches done, 2 to go

2- 20 oz bottles of water, 20 oz protein shake and 36 oz of coffee

ETA. I logged it for a check up and less calories than I thought. I thought I was around 1300-1500

Thanks, Candy! I will think of this as a pause and not a stall. A month would probably make me certifiably crazy lol!

During the week I don't normally stray from my plan because I pack my food and take it to the office. On the weekends I may switch up dinner. Like last night I planned on salmon and had chicken.

Thanks for sharing your recipe!!!

I NEVER had a stall, not one!  I did have a few pauses of a week or two, but lost some every month for the first year.  I wish the same for you.  I think it would have made me crazy too.

Part of my indecision is I am unemployed right now, so not much structure to my day.  So I change my mind, oh well, not hurting anything.  I was curious about what others did.

The pork is good, I have made it before :)

I try to stick to post but sometimes change meals or snacks due to cravings or opportunities. LOL! I try really hard to stick to schedule. I change meals and snacks on myfitnesspal.com so I have accurate intake information though. Nice to know I am not the only one. Thanks Candy V.

Hi Yankeescl! You are at my exact goal weight :) Way to go! I love turkey and cheese roll ups. Someone once shared the idea to pan fry the piece of cheese until it gets a crust and then put the turkey on and wrap it up. It gives you a little crunch :) Have a great day!
