What's on the menu today, RNYers?
Thank you. I live in Michigan. I have to do this not only for me but for my kids, my sister is my insperation. She had it done two years ago. She had a heart attack and cancer before she turned 45. I know if I don't do so thing I will follow in her footsteps. I have looked up to her my whole life (she is the oldest I am the youngest and there is two more between us).
Like I told the surgeon last week I want to be around to hate my sons wife as much as my mother in law hates me. He is only 4 so I have a lo g time to be around for.
ys 7.5 miles in 35 mins (sorry typo). But I was going like crazy. I told the girl next o me to watch out big girl on a mission. My work has a gym in the hanger so I ride a bike about 5-6 times a week.

Hi DC and fellow menu posters! Here we go another work week has begun... For me personally when I started this journey in 2012, I only had RNY surgery on my mind. In my opinion there was no other. Even when I saw the surgeon he said what are you here for and I said 'to get RNY surgery!" and he said good that was the answer I was looking for! So I find it weird that your support group was so pro the sleeve, here they are very pro RNY. But to each their own right. Sorry I have missed a few posts, lots going on at my work place and personal life and last week was kind of wild, not in a good way, so I was not online very much. Missed you all though!!
My boss was away for a week's vacation last week and she came back today and when I walked into work this morning first thing out of her mouth was "whoa, look at you, you are getting skinny!" Ok, hardly skinny, but apparently even in a week our bodies change and we look different. I have not lost any weight in about 5 days but I put on a pair of black dress slacks this morning and they just hung on me like a wet garbage bag! Time to go shopping AGAIN, this is getting expensive! LOL
5 months and 3 days since RNY surgery
B: two cups of black coffee with one Splenda each and one cup of unsweetened almond milk and two scoops of chocolate protein powder
S: one Swiss Babybel and four orange bell pepper strips
L: leftover "fajitas" 2 oz of grilled chicken in fajitas spices and 1/2 cup of mixed bell peppers and onions
S: one Swiss Babybell and four orange bell pepper strips
D: 4 oz of Ginger Teriyaki chicken with 1/4 cup of sautéed orange bell pepper
S: half a small McIntosh apple, no peel
Stats: 673 calories 29 carbs 101 protein
Water: tons and tons
Vitamins: done
Exercise: walked for an hour a work - 5.5 kms, that's all today
