If you're just "kinda thinking" that you want to have a baby, and if you see this as an "opportunity" rather than what you've always wanted...please don't have a baby. Get the tummy tuck.

Edited to add: This sounded kind of harsh, and I really don't mean to be. I do want you to seriously consider what you're asking here, though, and really get your mind straight on what it is you want. If it's a baby that you really, really want, wonderful! If you'd rather have a slammin' bod, then great! Go for whichever one you really, truly, in your heart of hearts want.

Thank you for the edit section. I have raised children before that where not mines biologically while I work 2 jobs whole attending school full time so I know the responsibility but just wanted to know what order to people think is best and why. Some people just take life too serious and I pity them and the children around them.thank you for your reply

I don't think you are asking us if you should have a baby or a tummy tuck, you are asking which order to do it in.  I would say have the baby and then the tummy tuck/breast lift.  Personally I would never have children if I had my life to do over, I suggest to anyone that mentions having kids to get a puppy, but that is because I have a 24 year old son who will always be dependent on me and who makes me insane on a daily basis.  But I am sure you need to learn that lesson for yourself.  No one could of talked me out of it when I was 24 and got pregnant either.  Although I wish someone did.

Thank you Heidi I was wondering if everyone had gone crazy around here. She of course wants a child, she just didn't know if it would be beneficial to have a tummy tuck before having children or to have a child first and then a tummy tuck because of the results. I've seen the same tummy tuck question on here a thousand times and have never seen people respond this way, they knew it was about the order in which to do it in because of the RESULTS of the tummy tuck.  I in no way read she was more worried about a tummy tuck than a child. She obviously has plenty of time to have children and has given it lots of thought!  I can't believe anyone would question her want/desire to have a child. Obviously it means a lot to her. I was very surprised others read the post as anything other than what you and I saw. Weird!

Honestly I think I would personally have children first and then a tummy tuck. I've had 2 children and the first one did a number on my tummy. I am pretty sure a tummy tuck wouldn't have stood up very well. However, kellawanda on youtube had a tummy tuck as part of her lower body lift and she recently had a baby. Her tummy still looks pretty darn good after having the baby!! So I guess it's up to you! Good luck on your future family hun!

Having a child is a miracle.  I have sooo many regrets, I was MO the entire time my son was young, I feel so much guilt for the things I couldn't do, I made up for them by buying him things and paying for all sorts of expensive vacations.  I basically made my son selfish and ungrateful only because I had all sorts of physical and mental issues related to my weight and the shame/embarassment it caused me.  I honestly don't think I was cut out to be a parent, it really is a heartbreaking job.  Every time my son cries or gets upset my heart breaks, like physically I can feel the same pain.  I hope he can get his life together at some point and achieve his goals, but right now he is no wheres near where he needs to be.  I will always feel guilt over the simple things I couldn't/wouldn't do that could of made such a difference in his life.

Good Luck and I hope you get pregnant easily.

I don't think it's wrong to want a tummy tuck/breast reduction.  I know I want them.  Having 3 young children though, I would say either be prepared for the work and (intense) lack of self for the next 6 years, and be extremely happy to do so, or have your tummy tuck and breast reduction first.

If you think you will regret living with a stretched out body and no time for yourself for that long, you really should wait.  If you're up for it though, I'd have the baby first.  If you want to breast feed there will be more chance of everything working before a breast reduction, and depending on how your families skin bounces back post pregnancy it might damage a tummy tuck.

Also, like the others have said, adopting a foster child, or maybe a girl from foreign countries where they are regularly abandoned/killed (see China/India) is a very valid option.

There are already plenty of small people in the world who need homes so while it might not be the way you saw things playing out, it takes the time pressure off and could have an amazing ending for all involved.

It sounds to me like you have always wanted a baby and are just wondering which to do first.  If that is the case I will tell you what a plastics doc told me. He said to have the baby then the TT.  Getting pregnant will, most likely, ruin the integrity of the TT.  That's just a suggestion.  Good luck in whatever you decide!!
